Side Bars or Side Boards?

I’m glad I’ve found out now as I only commented because mine has just arrived with the dealer in the same colour ! Even the guy that sold it me didn’t know what colour kurkuma yellow was and we had to google it ha ha

Thats nice. Good luck with it.

Hi!

Does anyone know if there’s any heavy duty side steps for the T6 LWB?

My van is used for work and I’m regularly strapping stuff to the roof rack, so side steps would be really useful.

Most (all) of the ones I’ve found seem to be just decorative.

Correct link for above mentioned in the end purchased and mounted side steps.

Close to 1 year down the road and still satisfied with them.

Hi @WillF
Am very satisfied with the boards which is primarily used by my daughter with CP. Up to its rated load around 100 Kg I have no doubts recommending them.
Had them on for close to 1,5 year now.
Hope this helps you.

Great thanks @Repete I am ordering some now - were they easy to fit?

Do the side steps get in the way at all as they stick out quite a long way? Torn between these and trapezoid bars at the moment....

For me the side steps does not get in the way. They dont stick out far from the chassis.
But if I didn't have the need to get the family smoothly in/out I might consider bars instead.

I have the side steps on mine too...I figured I'd end up standing on bars, which aren't functional, so went with the steps.

Hi

I'm looking to fit side bars or side boards on my T6.

I'm just wondering what people think which ones are more practical and also look good on the van

IMO bars are for standard looking vans.. boards are for swampers.

Swamper = raised suspension and meaty off-road wheels/tyres. Plus any suitable off-road style accessories to finish the look. Can be very cool when done right.
