SoLow NXT Plus - anyone have experience?

Hi all, I'm currently exploring the murky depths of the suspension upgrade rabbit warren for my T6 Caravelle and was wondering if anyone is currently running, or has driven a van that has the new(ish) SoLow NXT Plus coilovers and could provide some real world feedback on the ride quality, comfort, general performance etc (appreciating it's all subjective and different vans, different weights etc all contributes to the user experience, but still interested to hear other people's opinions).

To avoid this potentially becoming a copy of 90% of the other suspension threads on here - I've been reading up for several days now, so I've already seen plenty of info on many of the other options, so I'm well aware of Steve at CRS and his expertise as well as various threads with feedback about the most common products he offers, as well as comments on other SoLow products from all the other usual specialists that regularly contribute on here, but I just can't find anything about this new product whether on here, FB, Instagram etc, so I'm just looking for feedback on this specific product at the moment please.

I've watched the THQ video and note these are made by KW rather than the usual Bilstein based design that SoLow use for their other products and as the existing transporter KW options (STX, V3s etc) always seem to review quite favourably (at their respective price points), I'm interested to know what these new ones are like if anyone has any insight.

Cheers.

Their are other providers of air suspension. the one that you mentioned seams to attract those who like to go especially low While another perhaps longer going an has a large EU list of clients, VB Air seams to cater more fore the adventurer who may also travel off-road and appears to be set up more in that way. I am not suggesting that either can not travel off - road or go low but I feel that their might be some polarisation. I am sure both are very good in there own way. VB had a big thing about homologation which is very important in the EU especially Germany where authorities can be quite strict and demand certain proofs of product suitability and above all safety. Not suggesting other set ups are unsafe. VB was also recognised by VW, I think that early on VB Air may have been an expensive option on the options list. I do not know if that is still likely in German or Holland but I think VW still recognises it and may , I say may because i have not read up on it for a few years now, may be still accepted as not interfering with warranties on newish vehicles. I am sure that I will be corrected if I am out of date.

Their are others and one that does lots of off road kit under-plates and all sorts of very well made associated stuff. Seikel, they did a very well presented package that very neatly was packaged into a steel or aluminium box and located on the wheel well under the back end of our vehicles. This was a German manufactured product VB Air was Dutch. I really like the quality of Seikel but I am unsure if the still offer it have a look on their website. Terranger is another provider of fabulous kit. It is also a few years since I looked at there site but I believe they still do air.

Some outlets offer kits at various levels of completion and others may be more comprehensive and have self levelling for camping and so on. I believe it may be down to what each owner wants and perhaps can afford. VB Air I understand has a support network and fitters in the EU and here and Seikel have an outlet in Aberystwyth Mid Wales. I think that the one that you refer to has outlets in the UK and is popular on these pages. Terranger, I am unsure about so far as fitment and support It need looking into.

Having used German and Finish Off - Road websites years ago I can say that the Germans are great travellers and adventurers and have an excellent high quality supply of excellent kit or off-road and camping vehicles. However Off - Road Adventure is not everyone Cup of Tea. I shall have to revisit Terranger and Seikel sites to see what is what!

Good luck richer with your journey, let us know what way you go!

Hey, thanks for taking the time to reply. I was actually talking about their newest coilover setup, rather than their new air setup, but I have also looked at their new "Air Plus" system, so still useful info about available air options as I'm still considering all possibilities at the moment and I hadn't heard of some of the manufacturers you mentioned so will certainly look into.

My main reluctance on air is that beyond the kudos of being able to air out and drop it to the floor, I'm not convinced in day to day driving that any of the setups provide a significant benefit in ride quality etc over a good quality coilover or spring/shock combo. Certainly not 5 times better anyway to justify the significant cost difference.

Whilst I love the low look, it's a family vehicle foremost, so comfort and usability are my main focus so something that offers a sensible/modest drop is probably what I'll end up going with.

Cheers.
