Steve we all have opinions wrong or right
Your taste isn’t same as mine possibly and many more people
How does your system work in different ways to overs on offer
We don't know what your taste is ?? frankly I have been answering your questions for a while now and have no idea what you actually want to do to your van , If anything ? maybe tell us all what you fancy doing , How low , springs , sport kit , sleeve over or Coil over , How much you want to spend , then the dealers might know what to offer you .

I was just writing something along these lines...but you beat me to it.
I knew the height I wanted....but also wanted comfort and quality. That was my starting point and I went from there.
I feel for andyf in the respect that I was agonising the same as him for months on what is good...what's bad....what's best for the money....what's gonna last...and so on and so on....
This is why I phoned a few specialists and had a chat.
It was these phone calls that set my mind at ease and got me the answers I was seeking...

Modest lowering I would fit a KONI sport kit with H&R springs, 40 mm drop , Dampers tuned for the wheel size and weight and the H&R spring kit spec'd for the overall axle weight and mods . This isn't the most expensive kit, but for normal lowering 40 mm gives the best comfort results by far . Maintains plenty of travel on the shock which is a really important consideration for comfort , The handling is superb . Body roll , braking pitch all reduced and reduced road noise as a bonus .
How much would this above cost fitted?

Cheers @Yzfr1
What did you go for or are considering
Thanks for the reply

Andy
I think this is where some people on here may be getting a bit confused with what you actually want. You ask a question and get a reply and then a wee while later you ask the same or similar question again. I'm happy to answer your questions put to me and refer you to post #63 on this thread.
Hopefully i haven't offended you but i find a bit of upfront honesty sometimes helps.

This is all a balance between comfort, looks (lowering) and handling I guess and the correct solution should give the right combination of these three for what you’re after. But the solution may be different depending on what is most important.

Hi all,

I have a 102BHP T28 camper conversion
It has had some cheap and not so nice coil overs fitted about two years ago
So I’m looking to upgrade so to speak

What can you recommend, cheaper end or dear end
Looking for a bit of comfort but a lot less body roll if possible

Looked at the following

B14,s
ST by KW
Chilli jams duo control
CRS dual shock

Any advise welcome good or bad

Thanks in advance
Andy

Here you are Steve

@Andyf this is the best nutshell answer to your dilemma :

Prioritise in descending order the above parameters (within the context of your van) and then choose the solution that best fits those priorities for your budget

It’s a shame every suspension thread seems to finish at the same conclusion with the same input presently. There is no ‘best fit’ suspension out there, due to us all after different results. Luckily for the consumer there is a fantastic selection of quality suspension available from all the top manufacturers, all giving different results. It’s all very subjective and can only be decided by the individual.
Only you can decide what’s best for you, it’s really that simple.

After much research and debate I have decided to go with the VW Eibach suspension option on their Accessories brochure. In part due to the warranty implications. It's a no brainer for me.

Fitting booked with Bognor later this month

What’s the rough cost of all in fitted mate , also interested :)

£1535+vat fitted including a full four wheel alignment and adjustment after

Forgive me for being blunt .... but this is pretty much the same as if I get VW to supply and fit them ? Looks like £1805 inc vat / fitting from the accessories brochure from vw . Or am I missing something ?

Its the same kit, so assume the same price, although without being blunt back ;) we know what we are doing fitting the kits and include a 4 wheel alignment as part of the cost, which I know a lot places dont. We regularity see incorrectly fitted kits, even by so called suspension specialists.

This is what happens when people fit parts from a set of instructions, but don't actually understand the science behind it.

My van cost me £65k, I had it converted by one of the South's premier conversion companies ( ), they fitted B14's and after less than 650 miles this happened, then it was noted by an eagle-eyed member on here that my tyres were 102 rated instead of 103, not to mention the twats had rounded off my locking wheel nuts too.

I was on a trip to the South of France, fully loaded, with all that is precious to me, I would not have made the 400ish mile trip back without a blow-out.

Your dealer may know what they are doing, they could be one of the better ones, but to be certain make sure you use someone that has been personally recommended to you on here such as @BognorMotors @CRS Performance @Absolut5
