T32 - 20" Wheels fitment!

Hi Oli @BognorMotors , I wonder if you can advise me on what's best for my T6? It's a T32 Kombi and it's been lowered (dealer-fit). I'm not sure I'd want to run at 20" at the detriment of ride and handling, so I'm thinking 18's or 19's. Your Oz wheels look mint and I reckon something similar on my grey van would look mint! What could you recommend? Cheers, Dave

Who could I speak to price some up ?

That would be me. Im out of the office for a long weekend until next wednesday now. If you fill in a contact me, on our website, addresses to me, then I will get onto it.

The OZ's aren't rated for the T32. We are running grey wheels on our latest white T32 Kombi - See our Facebook page for pics - These are 20x9 Et40 and running 265/4020, so totally ideal for the T32 (wheels are rated to 1 ton each +). This vehicle is slammed with zero rubbing.

Yes, but all dependant on tyres and offset, so not sure how much . Should know more this coming week, once we test fit the 265/40/20. Still trying to find a decent black 8.5/9x20 with on offset of 40. Will keep you all in the loop

@BognorMotors did you manage to fit a set of 265/40/20s onto an 8.5 rim? I've been reading up on this and it appears 265s are too wide for 8.5s and 255 is maximum width.

I've bought my new wheels and their 8.5j x 20 ET25 fronts and 9.5j x 20 ET35 rears... I'm now trying to decide on which tyre to go for ....do I go 255/45/20s or 265/40/20s and risk any insurance breach as it's over sized....

It's an emotional rollercoaster this wheel/tyre saga

Thanks for the reply and info - very useful. Those Team Dynamics wheels look perfect. Do you think it affects the ride compared to 17's / 18's though? I ran 18's on my old T5 (which was also lowered 40mm) and they were fine, but I don't want to lose the 'car-like' driving feel that I have with the T6, if you know what I mean.

I would fit Bilsteins with the 20's. On standard springs they can get a bit crashy.

On the green van I ran 275s on a 8.5 rim

255 does not give you load rating
You are best to call a few wheel n tyre specialists and discuss so you have your own peace of mind you are fitting the correct size
Everybody said don't fit 275/35/20 on a 9j rim but does it look wrong ( not my wheels )

Ok I'm going to go 255 45 20s....this way there are no insurance risks for piece of mind...and can 5mm make such a visual difference!....time to place the order I think as I'm itching to get these wheels fitted. Thanks for all the advice

I would check its going to throw you speedo and gearing right out !!!!
It's not 5mm that's not how it works
And double check as a 275/35/21 gets very tight to the arch liners and that size is bigger
Who recommended that size ?

Why not 265/40/20 ? Load rated for t32 ?

Lots of people run 275/35/20 on 9j rim which I've ordered 102 rating

Who advised you on that size tyre ?
I'm still new to this myself but from going to a couple of shows looking at wheels those tyres seem huge on a 20" wheel max I've seen is 40 profile

The second number is a percentage of the width (first number) so it's not 5mm its 5% of 255mm so that's another 12.75mm which is about half inch extra over a 40 profile tyre

@Pauly 12.75mm wow...ok now I have the choice ...do I go 265 40 20 on a 8.5 rim or do I sell the wheels and start all over again? (it's the issues with insurance and sidewall pinch that bothers me)
