T6.1 Heated Steering Wheel

5Q1 is ok as a pass through for power to the heating element, since i did mine others have used the 5Q0 and got the heated wheel working from the button on the wheel which is not possible on the 5Q1 unit
My 5Q1 doesnt Heat. What can i do ?
Can you say me the Codings?

There is no coding for a slip ring it just passes through
If using 5Q1 it needs to be 3rd party controlled externally and power will be passed to the element, if you want to do it the VW way and program it in you will need to use a different slip ring

Which 3rd Party Controller do use?

It’s up to you, a switch or some type of timed relay

I finally used a 5q0.953.569B
I used a home made adaptor to have correct pins on the T12 connector.
The steering wheel work perfectly for all buttons except heating.
KLR is ok, etc..

second problem: I'm not able to see heating information on gateway:

do you have any idea?

Thanks in advance !
5q0 module needs Can bus

Ok, clear. I used the slipping only as a "pass through".

here are my connections:
on the driving wheel, cruise must be on T12/11, not T12/8.

T14 (black) = 5Q0972726
Power:
T14/1 = positive for the heating
T14/8 = negative for heating
Signals:
T14/2 = +15 contact for MFSW from T16/4
T14/4 = GND for MFSW from T16/1
T14/14 = LIN for MFSW from T16/3
T14/7 = Cruise from T16/2

T4 (yellow) = 4H0972133
T4/1 = airbag from T16/5
T14/2 = airbag from T16/6

so I need to wire the 2 "Can Bus Comfort" to the slip ring, is it correct?

It works, but swinging arms are in fault in Vcds in 16-steering wheel controler.
I will short it not to have error.
Nearly finished

My car is dsg.
No, I connected nothing with dsg pin.
It seems to work Correctly.

I unchecked the “check P position” in long coding, but it was an error, I got a loop of error.
:
"Error: Service Vehicle. Only leave vehicle in P position!"

With this option activated, I got no problem with P position.

Where did you do that? In 16?

*I unchecked the “check P position” in long coding, but it was an error, I got a loop of error.
:

it is not stable.
it's a fluctuating error, sometimes it come, sometimes it goes away.
I will post all iformations as soon as I definitively fix it....

on functional diagram, they seems to connect 12v (from 31, from relai J329) to the T14/9.
I will test a permanent 12V on it, just not to have error, we keep in touch !

Someone put „kl.15“ on 14/9.

You can try it.
On dsg it’s a switch to gnd when not on P.
On P it’s floating, “not on P” it’s GND
I shorted it to gnd to verify, and I can drive without pb, no more warning while driving.
Now the problem is when I open the door !!
(Controler think I’m not on P)

If you want to do quick fix you can short to gnd, it will bell during driver door opening, but you can drive.

I will take dsg signal to send it to pin 9.

Keeping in touch.
