T6.1 MPG

Hi I have a T6.1 150DSG and it is shocking on fuel. After a couple of hours motorway driving it just hit 30mpg on startup its 18-20mpg and on short journeys its around 22-24mpg it has now done 5300miles, so I was holding out hope ing things would improve, I don't drive particularly quickly so was just wondering whether anyone had any advice.
Thanks

That’s def not right. My 150 manual averages 41-42 with ease, and that’s with a full camper conversion for permanent extra weight. So even allowing for DSG, something isn’t right if you’re getting such low MPG.

What wheels and tyres are you running? If you’ve swapped out OEM wheels, depending on size, that might be part of the cause.

150 DSG kombi 3k miles and that’s my average today, mind you I was driving the shit outa it , 18s ,

I’m getting 32.5 mpg with my 199 dsg 4 motion but it has only done 1000 miles so hopefully get a bit more when more mileage on the clock.

I find THE ONLY WAY to get decent mpg, is to drive carefully on long journeys and keep well below 70

shout journeys give terrible mpg

150bhp, manual!

No not at all. Its in mid conversion so has a Rib bed in and a few other bits. I would like to get it remapped but with it being under warranty I'm not keen. Any ideas why it would be so thirsty??

I have put 20" wheels on with 265/40 but I this hasn't previously made a difference on my previous vans..

Just wondering what people are getting?
I have a T6.1 199bhp dsg and I’m getting around 35-38 mpg and over 500 miles between fill ups, mainly A-roads and motorway driving.

180bhp manual LWB ( remapped)
Trip to Durham and back bit of sight seeing, visiting family.
Did about 900 miles AVE 35 mpg

Remap was about overtaking towing a Motorcycle, loaded for a fortnight with gear etc. Not about acceleration. But it does lol.
40 mpg towing due to towing restrictions speed wise, mostly obeyed

2021 150 manual 4motion kombi , getting avg 33mpg General grabber tyres, skyline pop top, (adds a bit of height) plus cross roof bars.
About 50kg of tools in rear 20k miles
It’s driven normally, ie, some fasti driving and some average driving
