T6.1 new order delays

I’m at 12 months next week, definitely given up on being excited, on 5th provisional build date.
I'm at 11 months next Wednesday, but I've never had a provisional build date. Should I be concerned by the lack of provisional dates, or is my dealer likely just not bothering to inform me of dates because they're pretty meaningless at the moment?

Been following the posts since March/April 2021 but never posted.
Ordered Feb16th 2021. As others been 00 &10’s but never a 20:cry: Still not build date:cry::cry:. Was June 2021 delivery when ordered.
It’s been a pain with selling my current van and car (i need car to tow caravan), never knowing when i could put them up for sale.
The guy in the dealers as been very good and very apologetic. After all it’s costing the salesman money in commission!
HA-OH, it is what it’s is. Lot worse off then me.
Only thing that really p%*@s”* me off is when VW send emails asking if I’d like to look at other VW products.
JUST MY VAN I ORDERED FIRST PLEASE!

Im sure @VioletVW you'll be excited when you pick it up...good for you...it is crap really the way VW treat their 'customers' considering the amount of money we are spending on these things.
Just remind us again how long you've been waiting?
You'll be equally excited to be leaving this thread soon! :p
I may as well start counselling any way and see if VW will stump up for the bill!!
431 days...

Great to hear your good news Violet especially after the first debacle,
I ordered Feb 4th 21 and still waiting........ wish I had of ordered a new Transit now......
It's a bizarre system and there doesn't seem to much of a pattern, more like a lottery.

I'm relieved but frustrated.

A transit may have arrived much sooner but who knows, Ford may have similar issues.

I hope you all get some positive news soon, and we can all put this debacle behind us.

Looking to order a new Van from a dealer possibly.. are the waits still that bad? From what I’ve read I’m guessing 52 weeks plus wait. Will it possibly speed up?
Cancelled our original order and ordered again in Feb as got this one with 11% off no deposit... Been told 12 months but if not confirmed for end of tax year will cancel and get a motorhome. Prices on used mh are dropping but Vws holding prices. We're lucky we have our T6 already so can use this summer.

Are you really prepared to buy a depreciating asset rather than invest a neutral one? Agree you can get a MH quicker, but that just gives it more time to depreciate.

So what we saying.. the price can go up from your original order? And then you might not get some options you’ve ordered?

I've had very little movement for my whole 12 months, this month was the first bit of news I've had in terms of movement of stages, but with the usual trend i'm not holding up hopes it will lead onto a quick fixed build date.
no news makes you angry, news that there's no news makes you sad!

14 and half Months and still waiting just been hit with price increase of £4057, I sent an email 2 weeks ago to VW customer relations expecting the courtesy of a reply.....the saga continues really failing to understand why people are so loyal with this conglomerate!!! very poor experience and keeps getting worse anybody thinking of placing an order I would seriously buckle up for an expensive Dawdle which will get more expensive!!!!!

14.5 months? Yikes! Did you specify a unicorn-hide interior and unobtanium alloy wheels?

Seriously though, I've said all along that VW's approach is deeply unjust because the longer they keep you waiting, the more intervening price rises there are and the bigger the price hike you have to pay. It's double-whammy.

That’s ridiculous but the bad thing is VW don’t even care because if you don’t take it someone most definitely will

Can’t understand why you (we) have to pay extra when it’s not our fault. VW are taking orders they can’t fulfill. Disgusting way to run a business for a company that size.

Has anyone spoken to citizen advice?
I have a friend who works in the commercial vehicle industry, in sales. He told me they can’t do it, that you have a signed contract?

It does say in the contract that if there is a price increase we have to foot the bill

All diesels are depreciation ready to happen arnt they. I am lucky to have owned and still do quite a few transporters and each one impressing less. Now ford and vw working together not holding out for it to get better. Would anyone offer to buy a house wait for 15 months and pay more ???

And that's the main issue. If I knock this on the head they'll sell it for retail price or more. It's a win win for them.

It does say that the price can change in the small print but I'd be interested to see what a solicitor or citizens advice would say. Possibly nowt but worth a conversation.

So it’s not a price promise?
I’ve had people say to me ”had your van yet?” . Nope - comes the reply!
”Oh - I wouldn’t put up with that. I’d cancel“ but what they all forget is that leads you back to the “back” of another queue for another vehicle!
The guy who made the comment to me (regardingk price promise) is senior guy in his company, sure he can’t be to far of the mark regarding contract.
Probelm being is that we’ve been waiting so long, no one now wants to miss out.
I worked in the car industry for many years a long time ago, mainly installing conveyor systems when model changes happened.
There were always issues bringing new models into production regarding just-in-time but nothing like this (And that takes into considelation all that’s happened in last 2 years).
