T6.1 new order delays

That’s odd. Removed the bulkhead in mine in the order, but didn’t have to pay any extra for rubber floor (which I didn’t want/need and didn’t get)
I did order single passenger seat and twin swivels though, as it was being converted to a camper, so maybe that made a difference
Yes I have one order placed with a main dealer Nov 2020 and still no provisional. I ordered another van though another dealer in March and it’s now waiting for a boat. I think some dealers have oversold very badly. #TheNationalVWVanDealerLottery
I had a chat with my main dealer the other day.
I told him my lease Transit is due to be returned in April 2nd. He said if I order by latest end of August it’ll be ready by early March but they can delay the delivery for the beginning of April.

Did you tell them that you are fully aware of the difficulties of the supply of vans at the mo? I would take anything a dealer says at the moment with the largest pinch of salt possible. Even if the factory sorts itself out, the problems with international shipping, ( but mainly the docks in this case) will throw another spanner in the works.
Yes I did and he knows all the latest. The guy I spoke to also converts vans on the side so a bit of a Vw enthusiast!
I can only say it depends what you order. Personally I ordered mine in Sept 2020 and still do not have a confirmed build date only provisional for sept 2021 and that has in the past moved out as far as Oct. VW chat and my dealer are now not even giving me an updated provisional date. I know lots are in similar situations. PVs seem quickest, then Kombis and finally Calis and Caravelles with significant waiting times with towbars, 199/204s, 4motions and even the sports kit adding delays. I hope things inprove over the next year for your order but can only recommend you base your expectations on the pain contained in this thread.
I’m probably going for the Sportline but heart is set on a T6 TSi if I can find one before I order…….

I had to remove the power latching tailgate as you had to spec the rubber floor which was around £200 IIRC. I also got bulkhead delete with single passenger and both swivels.

With demand and prices still high, I’d be selling it on @Danny1964Boy
I’d be amazed if you can’t turn a decent profit on it
I wish I’d known about dealer allocation when I ordered. Might have gone with my local dealer instead of autoebid.
