Going to put another call in today @Walski see if there any updates, it does see to be a bit of a mish mass at the mow. some of the guys here getting there vans build now but still there are some still waiting with no news like me and @5ldc and others. I cant understand the logic of vwc build dates there dont seem to be a pattern to it.
I ordered 2nd Feb ,I think I got week 49 ,but dealer wasn't happy as he said vw were supposed to be prioritising older orders and he spoke to sale's and now got week 35 .give them a call
Put a call in today, still no movement, showing week 40 now unconfirmed. chAp said all the same things really but also seemed a bit lost to why it had not been built.......just keep waiting.

Yes maybe removing some options would speed things up but I'd only regret it if I did so I'll have to hold out.
Hello, I'm new to the forum and all things VW. I ordered my van via a converter on the 11th March with an anticipated lead time of 12 weeks. After being given various unconfirmed dates I have now been given a "confirmed build' of week 35 (w/c 29th August). How reliable are these confirmed build dates and how long after the build do the vans take to arrive with the UK dealers?
The summer has been missed (not exactly missed as we have still had some enjoyable breaks in our tent) but I could really do with the converted van for a break we have booked in mid October - convertors (Hillside Leisure) are saying should be OK but I would like some more assurance, if possible, based on others experiences.

Hi @Dave Harris welcome to the forum, once its confirmed its a bit more promising
People seem to average 3 weeks from build to receiving van so 20 something of september would be my guess providing they dont move the goal posts

With Hillside being a relatively big outfit I would hope that them getting the van late September would provide sufficient time to meet my October 14th deadline.
If OK, I'll advise progress and delivery on here for others in a similar boat to see (whilst it hasn't change the length of the delay, it is reassuring to see that I am not alone in my predicament - I know it will all be worth it in the end!!!).
