T6 Delays

Yes maybe removing some options would speed things up but I'd only regret it if I did so I'll have to hold out.

I took swivels off hoping that speed things up ,also realized you lose height adjust.
Only thing with long wait I spent another grand on options ,rather than taking things off

@Pauly - thanks for that (and for the heads up about the other site and setting me up over here).

With Hillside being a relatively big outfit I would hope that them getting the van late September would provide sufficient time to meet my October 14th deadline.

Hi @Dave Harris, welcome aboard. As a converted T6 man I'll look forward to your piccies!!!
I'm sure you have, but just check with your conversion co that that kind of turnaround time works for them. You can find with the bigger outfits that they have 2 or more vans in at the same time running so actually take a little longer. My conversion was 5 weeks for instance.

Cheers Carl, so my 16th of June order is going to have a little longer to go then, I'm not getting my hopes up if I have it this year I'll be happy. Gives me more time to save for bits anyway

Thanks @Walski. Hillside are aware of my scheduled and I trust will do everything they can (if they can't deliver I will be pushing for use of one of their stock of converted vans for the week in October!). We went to one of their open days just after seeing them at the NEC Camping and Caravan Show earlier this year and were quite impressed with the scale of their operation and the staff willing to talk us through the various stages of conversion - they had around a dozen vans on the go in the workshop with double that number on the lot. Some of the vans on the lot were completed but there were many unregistered panel vans (mainly T28 102PS Highline spec) waiting for customers to buy.

Part of me is wishing I'd gone for one of the available vans rather than what I ordered so we would have had it for the summer but the other half of me is being more pragmatic and looking at this as something we are going to enjoy for many years to come and so, getting the right spec, is the way to go.

I rang to change my order from a 150 manual to a 204 manual but it's too late.
Never mind, I'll be happy when it arrives.
Meanwhile I spent £300 on Caravelle grill and all the front trim to gloss black up .

it is surely not a coincidence that so many people here in the UK suddenly have week35 build. I bet they make them in batches depending on the country. So they can be shipped over all at the same time

Due to one reason or another, they missed the last available slot for UK shipments, and have been fobbing people off until the next UK shipment (this current week35 one) was due.

Yes they tend to make same country models all at one time. Increased production efficiency.

Ordered mine on May the 4th (204hp Highline ) and it was built last week and currently sat in a port Emden in Holland so they are not far off for my Sept delivery. Starting to buzz now and ordered some t6 sportline alloys today. This is costing me a fortune ....:-/ lol

Ordered June 1 been told wk45 build date so delivery possibly wk49.

T30, white, 150DSG Kombi Highline, LEDs, swivels, bigger tank, air bags, front park sensors, folding mirrors, removable tow hitch, 2nd battery.

Initially I asked for Sept 1st delivery but then was told there was delays with the euro6 204 . Then 3 weeks ago I was told a confirmed build week of 34 . My dealer has been really good and kept in contact via email all along

Just spotted the new set up so have moved over and bought my post with me.
Good (in a perverse way) to know I'm not alone.
Ordered my T6 Kombi high line 180 DSG on the 9th of January. Added pretty much everything I could. I've been promised several dates. The best one being the end of May for a build week, "it definitely won't go past that date!" Only to call for an update and told "ah, there's good news and bad news, which do you want?".
Good news was that they'd discontinued the 180 lump but would give me the new 204 Euro6 upgrade for free.
Bad news: it won't be here until early September.
Just returned from holiday to find this is now going to be November.
I've taken this opportunity to remove the swivel seat option as by having that, you lose height adjustment apparently. Not something they could tell me when I ordered it.
Customer services are unable to answer the simple question - when will I get my van?
So that's it. I just have to wait.
Hopefully until November... Who knows?!
I can't even cancel it, as I've got leather seats and new wheels waiting for it at Custom Vanz that I've paid for.
Absolute joke!

What doesn't help is that my business partner ordered a 140 DSG Kombi 6 weeks ago and looks like he'll get it before I get mine.
Hilarious!

@Paul Milham ,looks like you might get the trophy for longest wait .my wait will have been 9 months if it comes at the end of September
