Bon, i've put my install on hold till i know whether it'll be accepted in Switzerland... :-( thanks all for the help until now :)

What are the odds on the clear outer lenses of LEDs being the same as H4s?

This might be useful for some retro-fitters;)

Headlight range control module 6R0 907 357 C is used on number of other VAG models
so just in case if anybody is going to retrofit a second hand unit,
the following coding has to be applied
RHD: 0FCE020001000000
LHD: 0FCA020001000000

plus these adaptation values
ENG100660-PWM to Level Scaling Factor Front: -5.20 mm/%
ENG103748-PWM to Level Scaling Factor Rear: -5.60 mm/%

Security access key is 20103 or 96428 or 15284:whistle:

Hi @Robert @mmi do you know if this type of mod can be done using OBD11?

@mmi @Robert geniuses the lot of yous  thanks.

i dont suppose to do this bit "the following coding has to be applied LHD: 0FCA020001000000" is in that same bit? Sorry i havent used it in anger really..

this is the bit of the retrofit that im bricking it about tbh :)

@scotia...Chances are if you are on the continent and LHD you will be sourcing a range controller already from a LHD vehicle, as such the coding for the range controller module will already be 0FCA... even if not then I don’t think this effects the functionality of the lights,

Hi guys I’ve got the loom from Pauly and his guide but the pictures didn’t work, and he’s not in work at present to send them, anyone with his guide can they share the pictures to show where the loom passes the bulkhead please and runs to the offside headlight? Cheers Andy

Or you could use the loom rubber gland by the servo. Snip one of the rubber tests off at 90 degrees to get a water tight seal in the wiring. Don’t try to push a spike through, the rubber is very tough and you may split the nipple union.

Well following the info in this thread and pauly’s looms and guide, and the great help from @Grim Reaper with coding we got the lights working this afternoon

Following the coding list above we got a bulb warning light on and then lost main and full beam, with the added change to Byte 16 as @Montecha all full working and no faults or warning lights.

took it for a spin tonight and it’s like night abs day driving at night, expensive yes but highly recommend!

great work. Do you know why you had to modify the coding? Do you have a complete coding that you did - i cant find @Montecha 's notes.

I had an issue with byte 16, causing a bulb light out, to be on when everything is working OK. Reason was I still had 'Lamp diagnostics for low beam active' turned on, which you don't need with the LEDs. So just turned that off and it was sorted.

The VCDS setting is reversed, i.e. the Tick means off.

Great work, a bit mind blowing when its all over the garage (or driveway) floor, but agree that it is literally Night and Day when you get to the otherside!

question for the brains on here: @Robert @Pauly @mmi @Flyingspanner etc
for the RCM cabling.. and the illumination adjuster. I think i actually have this part here: 6Q0941334 as there is only one dial so i dont need to change that. So when it comes to power supply and ground for the RCM - how do i go about this?!

be gentle im not electrically minded.. :p

thanks in advance.. just purchasing my things...
