T6 THQ Full LED Headlights

I’ve got a full set of LEDs I’ve still not installed because of the loom and coding.

I've heard about new looms etc, but also seen installers fitting them to customers vehicles without the new loom.

What needs coding on them? I have a t6 highline, I had the vdcs update where both high and low beam come on together. Is that the coding needed?

I'm genuinely getting bored of waiting now, i messaged THQ back in August about the new LED lights, as I was selling my OEM H7's. That sales now fallen through cause he's bored of waiting.

I then messaged in September, same sort of response.

I'm beginning to think at this point I've got more chance of seeing Elvis in Tesco before seeing a release date on these lights

I'm unsure what coding is needed too. Surely there's someone here who knows.
Otherwise I'll just stick the loom adaptor in.
If you 'know a guy' MOT wont be a problem. Safety is the main thing come MOT time.

I got told that they won’t be released in the near future. Be nice to get a date off them, but can imagine they are working on the loom to be right.

The coding and loom for the OEM LEDs is needed. (I’ve got a set sat on my shelf looking at me)
For these aliexpress versions I think they’re just plug and play.
Well that would be nice!
I have VCDS but I'm a beginner

I could code them to have both high and low on at the same time, but it seems pointless as I have a powerful light bar on the roof

I have a LED equipped T6 from new. Would have preferred HID but I am very glad that LED fully compliant lights are available for everyone at such a good price. Their can be little excuse now when wandering around in the dark. I am not surprised that the suppliers of these things might want to have enforced supply and fit. I could just imagine the number of dissatisfied costumers wanting to return products because of fitment problems. I know that their are those more than capable of fitting them selves but many will hash it up and then go on and blind us all. Ultimately this sort of thing will not just be happening to transporters and government is already under pressure to clamp down on bad lighting from vehicles so for most, is it really so bad to have supply and fit , Drive in drive out with near perfect lighting for a few quid more. Lighting on the road at night is so important, surely then the most pressing thing is not how they look but how good they do the job of keeping you sand others safe.

Nope, not yet.
Eta beginning of next month.

I'm building up a new bumper in the meantime.

I've been trying to understand if I can fit both a winch cradle and a bull-bar...
Oooh. Sounds interesting!

I've heard that if you’ve got a van without Auto Headlights - so Startline or Trendline - you’ll be okay with the THQ T6 Full LED’s. It’s the Auto that plays havoc with the lights as they do a start up sequence & in the instance the lights are on Auto, they don’t know whether to put the light arrangement on automatically as requested by the van or do the little start up dance - subsequent error on dash then gets thrown up.

Im going to run mine manually for a few days to see if that’s right or not. The intermittent dash light doesn’t really bother me at the moment anyway but I wouldn’t expect to see these available for general sale anytime soon as THQ won’t release them until the issue is proven as fixed, or even allow dealers to fit them to Highlines anymore either apparently, for fear of a bad rep - which is fair I think.
