T6 THQ Full LED Headlights

I'm still wondering - I have OEM led lights and I love them in terms of low/high beam, etc. The only thing is look of those alternatives... But as it's subjective the only valid question is what are disadvantages of replacing OEM led with Ali/THQ (beside quality which tbh is not always valid argument).

Are there any issues with i.e. automatic leveling, automatic high beam assist, etc?
If you've got factory leds, don't change them for any aftermarket ones....makes no sense

It wouldn’t be a simple plug and play swap. There would be wiring changes needed, quite a lot of coding to do and redundant parts from the self levelling.

So... yes and no :) It doesn't make a sense to improbe lighting but to me if I would swap - only for the design... :)

Yep, this is the "not worth it" part... However, I'm wondering if there are any compatible T6.1 style front lights which will be plug&play? They looks much, much better... if you add dynamic indicators...

The up/down adjuster screw.
It's still accessible from above, outside the box, it's just a few mm too long
Oh. Didn’t have to do anything like that. The only thing that was crap with mine was the left right adjustment. You need to take them out again

I didn't have to use the up down screw. The hole was so the whole unit would fit.

There's a tool like a long screwdriver which will grab the teeth that adjust the left/ right without taking them out.
Plan is to get one and sort it all out on a flat surface, etc.

Finished fitting mine today. Loads of traffic and no flashes from blinded drivers. Easily passed 100 cars.

No warning lights on the dash and now I can see. Happy days

The moisture is normal. It will go as you use them.
In case anyone was considering the AliEx ones, I didn't mean there was moisture ingress; I meant that was something that could happen, and I was yet to find out if it would.
After 4 days of rain and driving, it hasn't happened.

The up/down roller switch on the dash also works.

And no coding is required.

They took maybe 5 weeks to be delivered and there were no VAT or customs add-on surprises.

They also have the dynamic indicators.

However, I'm tarting up a startline, so I don't have a complicated setup to marry up with.

Even though it says £120 tax on the website? Or not?
I just looked it up, and it does say "plus estimated £120.63 tax".
I opened a new account to get the new customer discount and paid about 500. There were no extras after the price of the units and postage page. Just normal.

Coincidentally, I bought a head torch from somewhere in the EU recently, and they were asking me if I was sure, etc, because VAT could be added at the border.
It wasn't.
These extras are just luck.

My birthdays coming up, I've told the Mrs i need to treat myself.......

She'll understand.
Do it.

You'll need a sympathetic MOT guy or just keep the originals and chuck them in once a year.
It's not a complicated job at all, and you don't need a "mate to help you with the bumper" like all the YouTube videos say; just chuck the packaging from the new lights on the ground for some extra safety. (Making no presumptions on your skills and knowledge, just putting it out there).

I'll try to find the Ali shop where I bought mine (I've got a few accounts there now). Obvs no guarantees they'll behave the same as mine, but with all these coding and tax gambles you want the dice at least a little weighted!

where's ya pics?
I still need to build the highline style bumper. I have a feeling there's some smashing and plastic welding going to happen, as I got some foglights and there's not a lot going on behind my new bumper for attaching them.

You think they won’t pass an MOT strictly speaking? What’s your thoughts or reasoning on this?
