Tail Lights: get both Fog and Reversing bulbs illuminating

My lights turned up today so tested one with my power booster . Really good light so could get away with one ?
I will post when I get it fitted .

Years ago when we went night rallying, people would put stuff like a 100w cibie oscar spotlight on the back as a reversing light.
No issues seeing where you were going...

Can anybody recommend a bulb to replace the H21W type bulb on the reverse light LED or otherwise Its becoming a bit of a theme P*** poor lights

Thanks but correct me if i am wrong dont you have the led rear lights where as mine are the standard bulb type does this bulb fit both types of light

Yes @Paul Morley the bulbs recommended are only for LED rear lights. I do not no of a upgrade bulb for the standard rear lights but someone may recommend one ? i think so some of guys have fitted additional rear reversing light units to help?

Hmmm I don't have the LED package but I do have LED number plate lights, that's why I thought they were standard fit

Yes I have LED light clusters but the reverse and turn signal lamp are old school filament laps that is why I changed them..

Take a look at this attachment it might help..

I fitted the same bulb I fitted in my DRLs . It is better but the fitting is to low in the unit so bulb sits low and light can't shine down on the road . If the clear lens was lower it would work much better. Hopefully fit the extra light under bumper at the weekend.

I just wanted to get it connected so I could see how well it works in the dark. I fitted it in the middle with a fixing to the steel bumper behind the plastic cover bumper with a 8 MM bolt drilled through it . Then run the cable up to behind the rear light unit . I connected behind the unit as it was very easy to do but taped it up well hoping water won't get in it . I will remove it and check in a few weeks . I used scotch connected into the green black and the brown ground wire .
It is very bright so I could wire it to the other side light unit and connect to the fog lamp . I won't be able to use the fog light if I do this but I never do any way. Wiring it this way I can use the fog light switch to turn it on if I need it .
I had to use a L shaped bracket I had in the garage as well as the bracket that came with the light so will get a photo of that and post .
I have another light so i am going to fix it up at high level inside the rear window pointing down and see which works the best .

It's protected by the spare wheel and that can still be removed without hitting the light .
The best option would be to run a new cable from the cab with a switch for it as I only really need it reversing out of my garden and up the drive in the morning and when moving around on building sites .

@Keeff , I know it's a new van etc ref mot, and you might not use the rear fog, but, fogs and their switches are part on construction and use. If you get rear ended etc, could cause you probes with the ol police/insurance if god forbid it was a seriousness RTA. Having said all that. Nice idea.

Yes I think I will need to get a wire through the van or I will need to cover the revering light if I wanted to use the rear fog in the fog. I am hoping to fit a rear camera so will get a wire through then .it works fine as it is but the light is very bright but anyone behind will see me reversing.
I am not sure about the laws on white lights facing backwards.

This is how I fixed it

NOT allowed when on the move, not allowed to display, although interior light is different (although NOT your proposed 2nd rev light). Only allowed when reversing, and then NOT allowed to dazzle/blind! Would suggest it also needs a telltale in a prominent position.
