Are your rears 9.5” @fezza68 ?255/45/18 on mine and lowered 100mm on solows with no rubbing.
Plenty of tyre talk when we first started discussing on the thread at the beginning, we put widths and tyre sizes / suspension set ups with a picture so everyone knew what does / doesn’t work etc. What tyres do you recommend? I got my wheels from duchy last week, in 8.5 and 9 and fitted 235/55r18. Its lowered 65mm on koni/h&r from crs. But my sliding doors touch on both sides and my fronts stick out pass the arches.
Im thinking that the higher profile is causing the tyres to bulge in the middle causing the problems, and been looking at either 235/45r18 or 225/50r18.
And you’re running Goodyear Eagle F1’s.... obviously you have no bother with the sliding door catching??
@Euantdi can I ask what tyre size you went for.... looks spot on.... 255/45/18?
Thanks for thatIt misses the door by a whisker.View attachment 94715
I’ve currently got 9.5” rears on 255 45 18 tyres and when I had H&R lowering springs the door caught ever so slightly, it’s also a carpet lined door so slightly thicker, I’ve since had SoLows fitted and this has eliminated the issue probably due to more camber and being tucked in, no rubbing at all.@fezza68 thank you for the pic mate.. mine completely rub thats its difficult to fully open the doors.
I take it these banded wheels are done on a jig so they all come up identical?
Wheels looking nice @matt_r .... what colour did you go for? Any more pics?
Id imagine all jamies wheels are done to his spec and all uniform. Are you running spacers,or as @DWS says it could be your camber?.
more than likely the 55 profile that’s making them quite a fat tyre if you know what I mean?Id imagine all jamies wheels are done to his spec and all uniform. Are you running spacers,or as @DWS says it could be your camber?.
You could see if anyone is running 255/45/18 on the same banded amaroks near you and try a swap over. I think its your tyre size thats causing the issue. Get a straight edge and put it to the edge of your wheel and see how wide the gap is at the wheel arch. Il do the same tomorrow when its light and we can compare. Im also running winter tyres which are the same size but a squarer profile and they still dont catch.
