Hankook v12s in 235 50 18. Wanted that slightly more "stretch look" if you can say that. Than the "rounded" profile of a 255 45. Mine are 9&9.5s, so didn't want clearance issues when going lower
Looking forward to seeing them on your van

Would a 50 profile give a stretched look though?

As 235 is 10mm below the recommended width for a 9.5in wheel I imagine it will look pretty stretched. Also remember that the '50' number is a %of the width and the tyre width will have a big look on how the tyre looks.

I don’t want to be the one to ‘throw a spanner in the works’, but will a 9” front work with SoLows.... especially with a 50 profile tyre? Just thinking aloud here?

It's only around 5mm extra in diameter compared to a 255 45. So should be find aslong as I'm not tucking tyre excessively

I’ve got 255 45 18 9” banded fronts on SoLow’s highest setting and I get some minimal rubbing .... trying 8.5” when my tyres turn up!

Interesting to hear, is that on full lock? And how much poke is your wheel giving on the front?

No rubbing at all when turning the wheel, it’s more so when parking and turning in on uneven ground / into a different gradient ie going off a drive from one angle to another, as I say it’s minimal and nothing that worries me and does not do it at all on flat surfaces. The other scenario is on a bouncy dip in the road near me when hitting it at a bit of speed, but has only done it when really loaded, talking probably almost a ton on board, usually carry 4-600kg and its fine.

I had poke when on H&R springs but no poke now, sits very flush, definitely not inside the arch though!

Nice thanks for info! I'm also making the swap from H&R so most likely a similar situation to yourself that once lower abit camber is your friend. Be cool to see some photos how flush at some point

It’s going to be tight in there with a 9 front and SoLow’s. Its that width at the front.

I’ve got a 9 and a 9.5 (possibly 10) coming 5th of jan and I’m dropping right down the tyre sizes to get that front in there with no rubbing.

Being on max height, there’s no way it’ll go lower without modification / tyre change that’s for sure!
