I'm very happy with the way it looks and I couldn't agree more on air ride. It really is the ultimate solution for transporter suspension.
Unfortunately the outside of the van won't be staying exactly like this. I will have to put some windows in it for my rear seat passengers. I've fought them and fought them, but unfortunately I've lost out. I want to keep the clean lines of the panel van, but windows are sadly a must have.
Before I confirm the tyre sizes, I must say this: Anyone who chooses to run tyres that are not fully load rated for the vehicle does so at their own risk. I don't recommend it, but I understand why people would choose to do so in some circumstances, such as on a demo/show van to get the most out of the drop available from the air suspension.Love an ascot transporter and on airsorry usual rubbish question what tyres and size you running? Would love to have the budget to go air..
With that out of the way, fronts are 225/35 20 and rear are 265/30 20. They give very, very similar sidewall height and the 40mm difference in width works really well on wheels that are 38mm different in width. You get a very consistent profile and stretch front and rear. The 265 width at the rear does mean that the van sits higher when aired out than it might do otherwise. If I put one of the fronts on the rear it will be about 10-15mm lower aired out and get the most out of the ultra low bags.

I haven’t had time to do much with the demo van yet, but I have made a subtle change to the chrome on the front end, I’ve also changed the plates and added some floating centre caps for the RSE.
There are now Kombi seats in the back, but nothing else!
