ToddiesT6 - Build Log

Final “10 jobs” to get T6 sorted before I chance my arm with the DVLA reclassification! But now I just need some free time to do so!

1) fit the sink drain pipe & outlet bracket.
2) mount the water cylinder straps.
3) wire up the tap switch
4) make the single piece worktop + carbon finish
5) buy & fit the induction hob
6) buy & fit side graphics.
7) sort out the NSR spoiler (around carrier)
8) sort under bed seat storage solution.
9) build the occasionally slider table
10) fit a side spin out table on the B pillar.

But I’m very happy with my big FOC sheet of carbon twill! :) It’s good being a composite engineer at times ;) & a very good excuse to donate to ‘help for hero’s’

Well the carbon fibre skinned worktop complete & installed. Should have infused the log slices over routing & filling, but I still like the customised look.

Likewise the sink’s installed & wired in. With a 15lts container hidden behind the fridge as space is precious!

Later this weekend it’s time for the final tabour door to cover the electrical install & the induction hob also

Slowly slowly the final jobs are being ticked off ready for the 1year anniversary trip to Scotland and the NC500.

Cracking little induction jobs available online these days & so that’s the cooking arrangements taken care off.

Prefer gas, but utilisation of the LiFePO4’s I ended up with [for the worlds (my) most expensive coffee machine] influenced my decision, that and the number of horror story’s I’ve been reading.

Rear cupboard gets a much needed top panel - as that’s yet another finishing job I’ve been meaning to tick off.

Likewise the tables made, storage affixed to the rear barn door storage and this too gets a carbon fibre skin - but not till after the NC500.

- van tour as request.

I'm aware the rear bed is in fact a table....brain fart!
What a fantastic looking van @ToddiesT6 and great to see video! I can't actually think of any box that it doesn't tick for many, which have previously wanted more than 4 or 5 seats! Lwb, 6 seats, isofix, pop top! Out of curiosity what is it classed as on V5… ie is it still limited to van speeds? Assume also VAT has not to be added?

Thanks for the positive comments @ChrisBell it’s been a costly journey for sure as I wanted the best myself & had no plans to sell, but times change!

Other than calling the rear table a bed, I also forgot to mention solar panels , roof rack, very high level of insulation & various other bits….but it’s my first ever YouTube offering.

As for V5, yep it’s like just about all transporter T6 that’s recently been to the DVLA - came back as a “van with windows” as the poptop isn’t acceptable to DVLA as a MoHO….crazy when you think VW oceans are.

Again fact it is a 'van' also plays into a certain market.... I would love a van like yours! Timing just not right for business tho.
