VW All-in plan

I’ve got something odd going on with my van battery. It’s not putting out enough voltage, only 11.9- either it’s not holding it or the smart charging system is not allowing it to get up to speed.

Either way, my Votronic multi charger doesn’t like it and every now and again it trips the camper side stuff.

So it’s booked in with the VW dealer to be diagnosed- and (says this very quietly !) it might just be covered by the All In extended warranty.
We’ll keep our fingers crossed…….shush…quietly

Hi guys my warranty runs out in 2 days and i cannot find anywhere on the net to purchase the all in warranty which includes the 2 services .
Does this package still exist or has it been stopped.

Was quoted recently from JCB Sittingbourne £1030 for the extra 2 years. Was told to do it about a month before my van 3 years runs out. Normally £1300 ish so atm on a special offer.

Having just done this on mine I couldn't actually take about the All In until the factory warranty ended, up until then the only plans offered were service only ones.

It sounds like your garage is advising you on the old system where it had to be taken out before the warranty ended and the vehicle inspected. That's no longer the case. Only constraint now is that if you leave it longer than 30 days then you can't make a warranty claim in the first 30 days of the plan.

No they just explained to me the current prices of the all in plan plus 2 x mot’s and 2 x services.
2 years of bumper to bumper warranty (hes words not mine) didn’t seem too bad a price.

The all in plan is the same, how you take it out has changed.

You will not be able to take it out online until your factory warranty expires.

I would not describe the warranty element as that - there are many threads on here about the much greater restrictions it has compared to the factory warranty - but personally I still took it. Just read the conditions carefully about what's not covered, including some very common but high cost faults.

My warranty etc ran out on 15th November, so did my son’s.
No notification from VW whatsoever.
I called them today and I have the service part of the All-In plan running until Nov 2025.
I asked how much another would be and she didn’t know ! No offers to find out either.
And then - I can’t have one anyway because the service part is still active and running.

I see it’s run out and reverted to £43

What he said.

100k miles or 6yrs old max at the start. (It's a 24mnth policy)

And you can't have two concurrent policy.

So you need to wait till your exiting is up, then if eligible you can start a new one.

Mine will be over 6yr old next time round so I need to see what's available, if anything at all... But the all-in package has been good for me. Loads of new stuff.

New engine, dsg gearbox, egr valve, dmf, etc etc.(oil leaks not covered.. ie crank shaft main seal on T6 engines)

Get all the services done?
One after the other if necessary?

I'm pretty sure that if you have an existing monthly paid for plan you can cancel it at any time, then start a new one. Say a current plan is due to expire when the vehicle has past 6 years old, I think that you could cancel, then buy a new plan at (for example) 5 years and six months, giving you cover until it's 7 and a half years old. Mileage dependant of course.

That's interesting.

Do we know of anyone that's done this?

Our 18 plate van will be seven in April 2025.

So I think I've just missed out on this little trick. As I'm now over the 6-year-old mark. But I don't feel that bad as I still got some coverage into year seven.

My plan ends next June, but my van will still be less than 6yrs old.Does anyone know if I'll be able to renew my plan straight away,or is there a period of time before I can renew?.

You can Renew straight away.

You can do it online via the webpage or call your local commercial dealership and do it over the phone.
.

I done mine over the phone as I didn't want any break in coverage between the policies so the guy at the dealership sorted it out for me so that it was the seamless transition.

I had to use a major service I’d previously paid for, to get the plan in the first place. I’m not doing that again.
I’ve paid for two DSG gearbox oil changes on top also.

My passat has an all in plan that started at around 6 years and 2 months old.

One of my local dealers called me and said its worth trying, she put the information into their system and it was accepted. It only had 16k miles on it at the time so that may have helped but id suggest its worth asking your dealer to at least try putting it into the system, the worst that can happen is it will be rejected. The commercial side of VW may also be more stringent on this kind of thing.
