VW Health Check ..... a joke

probably not telling anyone anything new here but what a bunch of jokers

had previous gems like:
need new wiper blades - they were 3 weeks old
your tyres are perishing - all tyres are perishing from the moment you start using them

so took my van to VW van ctr for minor service under the all in plan. previously and elsewhere I have been sent video of inspection but this time just a tick sheet. To my surprise I have 7mm brake pad depth at the front and rear .... I have magical growing brake pads !!!

rears were reported over a year ago as 90% worn, passed two MOTs since then however I have a full set of Nutexa pads and discs ready to go on. Two days after service pad back plate is just starting to kiss the lipped disc. on inspection I have about 1mm left and a bit of bit of uneven wear each side of disc

will investigate if they have wear indicators tomorrow as had not warning lights.

what a bunch of !!!!!!

might ring and have a grizzle next week, I knew they were down and needed replacing but other less aware customers could come unstuck

100% @Sackmycook my 2014 xtrail had 3 pages of "observations" total cost of estimate.....over £6700 kid you not. Seems over 10 years and 100K miles automatically triggers lots of manufacturers recommendations. Needless to say didn't take them up on offer. Bit of work and another years MOT obtained independently! Anyone fancy a 2014 nissan xtrail tekna 7 seater lol

I paid for a RAC inspection for a prospective buyer on my Mits L200, what a joke that was:

One wheel valve cover missing
Body Exterior Exterior Trim Tailgate Window Lower - Poor Paint Finish = on the hardtop cover there is an area under the glass hatch that was matt from new. Zero wrong with it
Electrical / Controls Battery Charging System Battery Appears Incorrect Size = I fitted a Optima Yellow battery, which was far more powerful but smaller
Electrical / Controls Switches / Controls Lane Departure Switch Faulty Operation = utter rubbish, it needed to be driven to be allowed to change this function

Utter joke, I called them up to complain about the switch operation and said I tested it and it was working as it should. I wanted them to update the report, they said no. ####ers
