Welcome new members

Hello all. New T6 owner over in France. Lhd, 204 hp, 4 motion, dsg, swb, twin sliders some nice options.
Very happy to have found this forum and already found lots of useful info and had great responses. So thank you for the welcome. Currently trying to work out what to do with the non kombi rear seats to allow our stitches and steel conversion in a few weeks. Ordered some sound deadening and insulation to get cracking. Keeping any alterations as simple as possible! Very happy with the van after a 750 km drive back from the pyrénées.

Testing testing, one, two. Am I getting out?

Hi everyone, thanks for letting me in. We are finally coming round to our senses and buying a T6 camper. Favourite at the moment is the Reimo Multistyle but I'll be starting a thread about that later.
Having restored cars for years I went over to boats before I get too old to climb in one. We considered a camper before but only just decided not to have one. The pandemic has made us wish we had so we're going to put that right. We've been caravanning for years and are members of the C&CC.

Welcome to the forum!

Might be worth hiring one before you jump in; can be pricey but can help in deciding what you like and don't like. They are a lot more cosy (read: cramped!) than a caravan. Great if you can live with it though

Thank you.
We intend keeping the caravan for a while as we get used to how we adapt to the camper. The idea is that we'll use it for long days out and short stays with an awning, then use the caravan for longer stays.

Hi All. On Monday I put a deposit down on a T6 T32 150 Kombi from Salop Vans. Can't wait to pick it up at the end of the month! Planning to use it as a workhorse during the week but for the family at Weekends. Desperately trying to avoid modifying it but already looking at gloss black from grills and a power hike!

Can anyone recommend where to get quality mod parts from? Don't want to just fit ebay tat!

Cheers

Dave

Hi welcome.. you could always visit Busfest or camperjam and see for your self what traders are offering…always best to see before you buy…and it’s a great day out :)

Hello all,

I'm new here. I'm taking delivery of a newly converted T6.1 T30LWB 150ps manual. Some great tips on here help me decide which one to spec and get. Now looking to join in and get some ideas on places to visit, meet ups etc. Plus ideas on accessories, awnings and things like that. Cheers

Hi all, new to the forum. Former T5 van conversion owner, swapped to a Ducato van conversion then a coachbuilt but just come back and got a T6 by Summit (made by Hillside and the same as a Birchover classic).

Loving having the VW and glad to see the back of the MH, too big, too expensive and not exactly a versatile vehicle. Looking forward to mooching around on here for tips and tricks. First jobs are to get some solar and a bike rack. Although looking at Bynxy above I'm loving the wheel and Goodrich tyre combo with the Iridium. Mines only the 150ps manual so would be a bit of a cheat without the 4motion! Sorry for the crappy quality photo, hopefully get some more up soon.

Hi everyone, I hope this is correct way of saying hello!!
Totally new to forums of any description but thought this would be the best place as I am the proud owner of T6 highline DSG.
Bought last year and absolutely love it. So far I've had modification of Ghost Alarm 2 and yesterday I had fitted a genuine VW reverse camera. Both items fitted by Eddie C of Volksfit. Absolutely faultless with his work and fully recommend.
Lovin the whole T6 experience especially now we can get out more and "every mile is a smile".

Will attach piccies of T6 later...love my music

Hi all, just purchased my 1st Transporter. Gone for a 17 plate T6 and now in the queue for conversion so not likely to be on the drive for a good 12 weeks! Anyone got any advice regarding a mattress topper for electric RnR bed?

Morning all, new member and new to this world but can't wait to get involved! Ordered my T6.1 Kombi 150ps DSG yesterday with an expected lead time of Q1 2022 which from looking at other threads seems about right in these times! Can't wait to get it but plenty of time before then to read through this site and get some ideas together. Main thought now is should I have gone for LED lights! I'm sure a lot of you will say yes but I wasn't convinced, already went to the top of my budget with Black Pearl, 2 + 1 second row seats and swivels in the front etc.

Hey all, said bye bye to my Skoda Superb Sportline wagon today and hello to a vary plain and standard T6 T30 factory kombi (150) Highline. Was a bit of a gamble not having seen it in the flesh but pretty happy and the added bonus of a few items not mentioned by the dealer. It’s got a kombi bed, both front captains seats on swivel bases, a leisure battery under the drivers seat which I’m presuming powers a webasto auxiliary heater. Not sure if these were factory options or not.

Looking forward to a few tweaks to make it my own. 9B105055-1C94-4309-ADB0-C83EB834B521.jpeg
