Welcome new members

Evening people.

Finally convinced SWMBO that a camper would be a good idea. I have set my sights on a T6. Bit of a list like captains seats both sides, I'd like DSG as she drives Automatic so don't want that as a barrier and a diesel heater.

Been looking around and found a few I like the look of so will probably be trawling the site for tips and advice.

Cheers all

Matt

Hello, just baught my first ever van about three months ago. Wanted it for fishing but also the possibility of a conversion. It's a T6.1 van and although they aren't the cheapest I decided on the transporter as if ever I was to sell it the depreciation is less than the other vans on the market from what i see, plus they have the largest following as well as parts availability..... did I mention this awsome forum

Hi Paully and everyone,

I am a person who lives with disability and have very recently purchased a VW Caravelle. This vehicle is being modified to fit my wheelchair and enable me to drive from my wheelchair. I have addded an automatic tailgate and certain other modifications that will help me to work as a disability advocate to improve conditions for people with disability in Australia. It is anticipated that my car will be fully automatic. For example, when I press a button on my remote, the tailgate will open and the ramp to enable me to enter the van will deploy. Then will be able to enter the van and drive my chair to the driving position and park my chair in the locking device. I can then reach for the seat belt and belt myself in and drive the car.

Hi. My tailgate is showing up as open on my dashboard. But when I check it’s actually closed. Any ideas how I might fix this?
It’s showing as a permanent issue now and keeping van interior lights on etc.
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone
Having owned a T25 (Autosleeper Trident) for the last 14 years we are about to take the plunge and get a new T6.1.
Basically we loved our high top T25 but need something a tad more reliable .... so after years of looking we are having a high top van made for us by Denby Campervans of Leek. We have specced it out based on our many years of campervanning, but it is effectively a copy of our old T25 ! - roof bed/storage, side kitchen, side awning, bike rack, etc.
We are looking forward to staying in touch with the old VW community and joining in with the new as well.
Chris
PS I need to sell the T25 if anyone is interested - but it does need work.
PPS No pictures yet as it's still being made - the roof was fitted a few days ago!
