I'm not a huge scotch expert. I drink what I like, I don't have a very broad culture in this field, to make comparisons, however... it is a distillate from 1977, bottled in 1991. Even if it was perfectly preserved, the evaporation still dropped the alcohol content ...this is not a problem at all, because aging has made it something difficult to compare to young bottles.

I'm not the type who can list the fruit you smell, what spices, or if the nose reminds you of a March day on the moor :smile bounce:, what I can tell you is this: if you take a normal and young bottle of scotch that you like, which is elegant, delicate and aromatic, you are in front of a green belt in karate. Knockando 1977 is a fu**ing black belt!

Tonight I'm drinking Something my sister sent me from Cyprus called Zivana Gold 45%proof stilled grapes from a distillery in the mountains.
