Well that didn’t go to plan. I used the joint credit card rather than my own to by the Bilsteins. They did a fraud check to make sure a legitimate purchase but they messaged the wife and not me. Hence I then get a phone call from the wife wanting to know what I’ve just bought for £1k. Damn. Awkward.

Shouldn't laugh sorry.... my husband does this a lot. He looks at the credit card online and goes: "how bought something on amazon??" Oooops, busted.

Not today but last weekend I finally got off the fence about bike racks and fitted a Fiamma T6 Pro Deep Black. Impressed with quality but I don't half struggle to lift my EMTB onto it, even with battery off Will be ratchet strapping table and chair to it as well when I go on hol next weekend, maybe even my beloved £39 Lidl kayak too so there'll be loads more living space in the van.

Not so impressed with the quality a month down the line. Would it have killed them to use stainless bolts? Or wasn’t I supposed to get it wet?

Is it the screw that's corroding or is it the item it's screwed into?

That concerned me too. It turned out to be the back face of the screw head oddly, maybe the paint wasn't thick enough there. Cleaned the two affected fixings up and gave the back of the two screws a couple of coats of lacquer, then when it was dry put them back in with a smear of clear grease under the heads. It hadn't happened to any of the other fixings so maybe just a bad batch. Hopefully sorted now.
