What Have You Bought Today?

Not all bought today but in the last week
1) camping pod arrived from Campal. It's a lovely bit of kit and certainly looks like it will beat the inflatable mattress and camping stove balanced on a box.
2) The chap bought a Thule Wanderway2 bike carrier which is yet to be fitted.
3) Trip to Winfields in Feckenham for some gas and we also bought a cheapo solar shower which I don't have very high hopes for but possibly better than nothing if we're staying somewhere without facilities.

Excellent work. Got a pic of where you put it? So, are you using CarPlay2 to connect and wireless charging to prevent battery drain?
Yep using car2play for wireless Spotify. The wireless charging pad I placed under the rubber mat in comfort dash phone holder to the left of the gear knob. Piggy backed it off a ignition fuse and used the vehicle bolt behind the comfort dash as my earth. Works perfectly.

Looking at roof racks but one of the more retro types and wanted to ask if anyone has got one of these and their thoughts?

Cheers all

What’s MPG anyway? All I know is when the needle goes too far left I put more diesel in the tank before I run out of go go juice.
Sounds familiar. I get crap mileage as is it with this monster. Don’t think a roof rack will do much to it. Nose is a concern though. @Baz..SVT what’s yours like for noise and do you have a small or medium roof rack?

Good to know, I am thinking of the medium for my SWB with the wood slats. What slats did you get the Iroko wood or the chards wood? The iroko looks great but not really going to see it that much.

I went the Iroko and stained them in light grey

It’s more about what weathers best, I think. Though @Baz..SVT gave his a good lashing of protector as well!

Hi this is only my second post on this forum so forgive me if it’s in the wrong section.
Not what I’ve bought but what I’m looking to buy, I’m looking for recommendations for an awning I have a long wheel base with a pop top, I want a simple awning just somewhere to sit out in to keep out of the sun or more likely the rain, don’t want it enclosed just roll out roll in with whatever supports are necessary.
Thanks

+1 the same.

It's simple & does the job we need it to do.

If we need to drive away for the day, the kadar strip just pulls out & the whole thing rests on the floor
The sides keep the winds at bay when sat underneath the canopy.
Rain proof as well, when in Cornwall last year, during some 'orrible weather
