What Have You Bought Today?

Bought a Night Owl double sleeping bag from Fine Bedding Company which has just been delivered.
Need to take it from its cover to make sure it’s a double as it seems quite small when packed away. If it’s as good as they say it’ll be a game changer in terms of creating storage space as I can get rid of the huge double quilt and mattress topper.

My double duvet arrived today too. I‘m impressed with the size of the bag it came in. This will be a big help.

I've got the Night Owl double sleeping bag too (7.0 Tog). Big thumbs up from me - we bought another for the kids as they can be zipped up as two singles as well (the sleeping bags, not the kids... although...).

Not strictly for the van “per se” but just bought a Bluefin Cruise 12’ iSUP as an early Xmas present to myself.

i Went for the black fin....and absolutely wouldn’t be without the electric pump now. Think I only get invited for paddles because of it...

We just sorted the pump…but not from a Sup supplier…I thought owning a van got expensive mention it’s for a Sup and the price goes up

It’s light and feels very good quality and is nice to the touch. Easily fits back in the bag without a wrestling match too.
Just been out to the van and had a little test as it seems quite thin.
Anyway, van is freezing, and the bag was toasty warm. I have a diesel heater anyway so it wouldn’t be an issue. It’s the full width of the van too at 160cm wide by 200 long.
Can’t wait to go away now.
Also, it fitted in the space where I had my dunelm mattress topper stored. So when I remove the huge quilt from the rear storage I’ll have tons of extra space.

Really tempted by this! How big is it once back in the bag?

Our new van will have a heater too which I’m looking forward to. Our bedding will now consist of a quilted mattress topper inside a single duvet cover, the Night Owl 10.5 duvet on top, and four pillows, two of which we keep out on the rear seat during the day. We have an electric blanket too which we could deploy on really cold nights. The new van comes with a mattress in the pop top which we could use downstairs too I’m thinking, so we may find the mattress topper isn’t needed.

Courtesy of Mr Bezos, I had an Auto Vox TW1 reversing camera kit arrive today comprising a screen and two cameras - one for the back of the van and one for my towbar mounted bike rack:
I haven't tried them in anger yet but I did offer a camera up to both the van and rack and they seem to fit OK. I'll report back on how well they work after fitting them properely tomorrow but my initial reaction is that the kit should go some way towards easing the terror that I experience every time I reverse the van blind with the rack fitted. This camper is the first van that I have driven for a lot of years and is also the first one that I have ever driven that I care about (others have been firms cars and military ones at that!).

Also, I went into my local Halfords for some polish. I didn't get it but did walk out with a Garmin Drivesmart 65 EU Satnav (with lifetime map and speed camera updates) for £130 which a quick google told me was a lot less than it could be bought anywhere else. I tested it on the way home and it seems to do the job and can hopefully replace the TomTom jobbie that I had until it died on me earlier this year.
