What Have You Bought Today?

Various items for 2023 camping adventures from Go Outdoors in 30% off Closing Down sale*, including extension cable and splitter for once van is converted, and Campingas 907 full bottle for £65.45 (cheapest I've found by far) as our current bottle is nigh on empty.

* supposedly for refurbishment, but they had a similar sale only a couple of months ago, and nothing's changed in store!

4 new Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres (255/45R18 103Y) to go on my T32…have I cocked up buying car tyres over van tyres?…I don’t carry commercial loads just me, the missus and a lab
Are they any good? I have the same size tyre and am currently using Kuhmo which appear to be quite rubbish. 4 fitted in May 2022, with around 11k miles done since then and they are getting very close to the tread wear indicators already (fronts more so obviously). Perhaps tyres wear a lot quicker on the van than they do on my cars but new tyres every year seems a bit excessive.

One of these to replace the Three (just run out) one in my van wi-fi…

I got one of those last year for going up to the Outer Hebrides, got reception in most of the islands. Just about to run out and can't use all the data!

Make sure you use it every month or so, at least a little bit, mine was cut off for a bit and I think because I hadn't used it.

I have replaced with a RWG 2-year sim which is also on EE.

Early days and fine so far, I’ll post if I have any quibbles

I have gone the other way :p . Replaced EE with £10pm 60gb on Smarty (3 network) and I couldn’t be happier in my travels abroad and in the UK.
I went for the EE network only because we were going to do the Islands, and as the Emergency Services 4G provider I understood that they had the best network in remote places, we certainly had an EE signal more often than O2 and Voda.

But if going abroad then Smarty is certainly one we would look at.
