What Have You Bought Today?

I had an MTM SGS35 Stubby Trigger Gun, MTM Foam attachment and a 5L bottle of Bilt Hamber Touch Less Snowfoam arrive today. I debated whether to just buy a cheap kit at half the price or less but was eventually persuaded by good reviews of the gun and the fact that it seems to be very popular with professional detailers. I've got to say that the thing seems real quality and I particularly like the fact that it's got stainless steel fittings rather than brass - it's also reassuringly heavy in the hand. I've also got a bottle of Gyeon Q² Wetcoat on the way but if the weather stays warm, I doubt if I'll be using that until the autumn! I'll report back once I've had a chance to use all this stuff.View attachment 198762

Nice bit of kit Ayjay - a word of advice, take that red nozzle and throw it straight in the bin. The pressure is so highly localised on that one that there’s a good chance you’d damage your paint. White or green nozzles are the ones to use

@Jimbob76. Cheers for the tip - I'd planned on trying the various nozzles out in the morning on a white plastic table that has been accumulating crap on it over the winter. As I said, I'll be reporting back idc.

Test the red one on scrap! It will score your plastic furniture

@JOG. Cheers for that - a couple of the videos that I watched on You Tube (inc. by Forensic Detailing) recommended using the white nozzle on cars and I tested that one on the aforementioned table earlier today - it was spot on and I haven't even bothered trying the others which are now in the bag in the shed somewhere, probably never to be seen again. I also took the pressure washer and new gun out to the cars as they're both covered in bird crap and gave them a quick spray over - again the gun was excellent and much better than the Karcher OEM lance. The only thing with it is that it's got a hair trigger which could easily be operated with a little finger and it took me a bit by surprise but I'll get used to it. Mind you, I wasn't as surprised as the Mrs who got an 'accidental' spraying!

I am now chewing the inside of my cheek to avoid commenting on you accidentally spraying Mrs @Ayjay

@topjohnny. IMO, much smaller and far easier to use in most circumstances - I'll keeping using the original Karcher lance and attachment for cleaning things like patios though.

You can buy a quick release to Karcher end if that helps? Less than £10 on eBay.

I’ve got the short version, have managed to get it into some tight spaces over the years but I still need a chair to spray anything over waist height.

Picked up these wheels for a bargain. Not 100% on them but couldn't not for the price. Fitment seems OK but might need some small spacers to get it perfect. Once on I can get the van that bit lower! Now, what colour do I go. Wife wants white, I'm thinking body coloured! Although a bright silver might look good!
