What Have You Bought Today?

Picked up a tin of Hammerite direct to rust metal paint.

Question: can I use this to paint over the screw holes in the van floor to protect them from rust?
I was thinking to fill in the holes after seeing another post suggesting it.
That’s what I use for the holes I made.

They’re no good for my poptop as the gap between the brackets is too small, and you can’t pull the roof down tight enough.

John.
I have been considering those but like you when they are pulled nice and tight on my roof, there is only about the distance of the buckle between the 2 brackets, so it would in fact be worse using those things. A shame really as it would be better to use.

@Bridger8 yes that's the name of it. I picked up white as my van is white, but they also do it in black:

Looks like you can get it elsewhere for a tenner! (Amazon/Toolstation)
Cool thanks…

An OEM brake hose leaking???? I wouldn’t class any leak on a brake hose as small, what was the root cause?
I have no idea mate, one minute nothing then a brake fluid low level warning appeared.

I checked my drive and notice a patch of darker tarmac which I had noticed earlier that evening. It was dry hence my instinct kicked in and I checked my brakes to find the fluid on the floor.

Today I picked up some sikaflex to fill the holes once I’ve painted them.
And also some foil tape for the patchwork that is my thermal liner and some masking tape ready for when I eventually get to the windows

Comes with power lead, small aerial (fitted) larger aerial and coax adapter.

One of these. Quite impressed with the reception. Only tried at home so I'll check it out next week when I'm in the Yorkshire Dales.

AntMag Carabiner Magnetic Hooks. The plan is to use these on the metal van sides to keep up the cab curtain divider… which I am yet to make.
Him indoors says 36kg of vertical strength is excessive, but who knows how heavy the curtains may end up. Perhaps something made of lead for maximum blackout effect?!

And fitted although not the easiest of task when the brake pipe but won’t budge. Still found a way around it. Front done.

Next, the rears, anyone know why they sent me six braided hoses :whistle:o_O
