What Have You Bought Today?

Table rail & leg kit has arrived.

Hoping the table top will hold up being clipped at one end, with table leg at the other
No reason why it shouldn't hold. Have seen plenty of others with that arrangement.
Looking at your sketch, is the table length going to be length ways down the van or across? Do a test with a similar size scrap/spare piece to check the best place for clips/legs before you commit to holes in your table?

Thanks for the reply!
I’m definitely going to test the size with cardboard first. My first thought was to have it length ways down the van so we can sit side by side on the bench.

My size guide is 45 x 75cm which is similar to some standard table top sizes but it can be whatever size fits/suits as I’ve plenty of the oak veneer ply leftover.

Table rail & leg kit has arrived. Has no screws so not sure I agree it’s a “kit”. Ah well that’s what happens when you get an EBay cheap purchase

Need to decide the size of the table top and then cut and fit it all. And hopefully find screws that fit.

I’m not so sure.
I would be worried either end will be weak.
Most tables with 1 leg are length ways.
I would consider fitting 2 legs if you are fitting it side ways like that.
You could try 1 leg without screwing it on. To see how the support at either end is.
Then decide if a leg either corner is required.

Thanks for the reply! Will see how it goes and use your idea if it’s unstable :)

I obsessed over various folding leg/rail/connector designs, including some that could be free standing outside too. For your lengthwise layout, I would use either a single telescopic leg in your centre position, or two fixed length at each corner. That way when they are folded, they are within the perimeter of the tabletop, making them easier to store.

I’m hoping so, they’ve been on my radar for a while.

Initial impressions are good, I was a bit concerned they might be a bit noisey but they seem to be ok, and definitely give more confidence of taking the van onto grass / muddy car parks for walking the dub dog.
I’ve got a set of 4, on their way. 235/60r18 £990 fitted

My 2nd bit of #teamblue Victron kit, a Blue smart IP65 charger, and cigarette lighter plug adapter.

My caravelle sits on my drive not getting used for weeks and I'm constantly in and out of it unlocking and locking, using the electric sliding doors etc so my main starter battery has gotten low a couple of times.

I'll now be able to hook this up to the 240v socket in the van then plug the hookup in the van into the mains in my garage and charge both batteries to 100%.

Also means I can monitor it from the house and not have to venture into the cold/wet/windy outside!

Gotta love havin' the blues!

Today's purchase - a 100Ah Renogy LifePO4 for the bargain price of £285.
It's a refurb direct from Renogy via their eBay site. It's also the Bluetooth version, not the Smart, so I believe slightly bigger form factor, no self heating, and less cycles. However given the price I'm happy with it.
NB they're up at £300, but after a round of offer / counter offer we agreed on £285.
