Makes a useful weapon too!I made one of my infrequent trips to the local Lidl today as my wife tipped me off that they had packs of bungees in the the special offers aisle this week (i'd mentioned to her that I wanted to buy some a couple of weeks ago). In the end, they didn't actually have them in but they did have a ½" Extendable Ratchet Bar for £11.99 which went into the basket:
I've already got an extendable wheel brace which I have to say worked OK on the two occasions that I've used it but I do remember thinking that it flexed when I really gave it some wellie and was never really convinced about it's toughness. This new Lidl jobbie on the other hand feels reassuringly solid but time will tell. I already had the 75mm socket extension which is needed to clear the wheel arches.Parkside Extendable Ratchet - | Lidl UK

They are worth it , I have not regretted fitting a set on my vanHowever that pales into insignificance compared to the 4 Michelin Agilis Cross Climates I had fitted today
I’m hoping so, they’ve been on my radar for a while. They are worth it , I have not regretted fitting a set on my van
I have been looking for a couple of these for a few months, Climair want £6 for the full fitting kit when all I was missing was a couple of screws. I would be more than happy to cover the cost of postage.A box of teeny wee tiny minuscule screws.
I only needed 1 to replace the climair wind deflector screw that never deflected the wind and blew away in the bag
Anyway the tiny screw that I need actually turned out to be the biggest in the box. The box looked bigger in the pic.
So I’ve got 999 spare tiny wee screws ranging from really tiny to grain of sand sized screws.
If anyone is needing some I’m happy to stick some in an envelope for them.

Don’t forget you have the post…..Newbie here
Picked up the van before Christmas - due to have the full camper conversion done starting next month (can't wait!)
Had this post fitted to work alongside my wheel clamp and stop lock - hopefully means there is less chance our new pride and joy will be targeted.
Also had the detachable towbar fitted and a new Wolfbox G900 dash cam.
They were fitted on a freeeeeezing cold day - but guys worked their absolute socks off, and totally recommend them if you need any work doing.
Ian @ Dependable Towbars (also did the dashcam - and such a neat and tidy job) - 07949 988770 ian@dependabletowbars.co.uk
Keith @ Akhurst Landscapes (also does fencing/patios/artificial turf etc) - 07496251304
Both based in Maidstone/Sittingbourne area
Wheels next week

You must know me ??!?!Congrats on the new van @TrevsieB, and welcome to the forum. I have a similar security post on my drive. A word of warning/advice - my front parking sensors don't pick up the post, so I quickly came to the conclusion that it would be very easy to just get in the van and drive straight into it, forgetting it was there (as you can't see it from the cab).
You might think 'I'd never do that', and it will be top of mind for the first few weeks, but there will come a time when you forget about it and that post won't move!
So, when I'm using mine, I park the van with the tailgate facing the post, as the rear parking sensors do 'see' it and go nuts + the reversing camera shows it.
Or, gaffer tape a neon yellow flag on a pole to the post, so you can see it from the cab!
I'd hate for you to unintentionally buckle the front-end of your new pride and joy
