What Have You Bought Today?

Ordered Travelin-Lite rear LED lights yesterday afternoon and they arrived at 7:30 this morning!. With the help of Steve Field's excellent YouTube video on how to install these I had no problems and fitted them in about an hour (first one 45 mins, second one 15 mins!). End result, LED rears with two fog lights and two reversing lights!

They look a decent upgrade.
Have you heard good reviews on them?
From what I have read they're the next step up from the Alpine kit. I have the Alpine kit in my T6 and albeit a decent upgrade from the standard transporter speakers, they aren't the best (probably much better if you run them through an amp though).
I was putting off buying the Gladen One because of the price difference. but with £75 off I couldn't resist.
Hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow, then I can fit them over the weekend and give you my opinion on whether they're worth it.

... and about 10 minutes after posting this I'd sold the old lights!

Just arrived in the post from eBay... I bought two ~120w 12v fan heaters to test as an electric option to take the chill out of the van. Obviously, they won't match a fuel-powered heater, but with my van being petrol and the Webasto heater being ~£1300 plus fitting, I thought I'd give ~240w of electric heating a go and see how I get on. I must say, testing on my desk in the office they do kick out some heat. Even if I can raise the temperature of the van a few degrees it would be a nice result from £20 spent. ~240w draw doesn't give me ages on my current (Ecoflow River 2 Max) battery setup. I keep looking at this renogy offer again and again though anyway :D

The plan would be to fix them into the ply seat-base covers I've had made so they can add heat at ground level. I could fit a timer or a thermostat to control them; even an RF switch and key fob that could start them going from outside the van or from inside my sleeping bag.

do you think you could put a sub plug on the end of that and power it that way? Worth a go du think?

I don't see why not. Any connector that is happy to carry about 25 amps (for two) at 12v should be fine. You could build a box to hold both fan heaters and have it mobile in the van if you wanted. I'd just be wary of that meaning you might end up putting it somewhere it could fall over or get covered and overheat (then maybe start a fire). They are much less effective if the fan behind the heating element isn't able to push a lot of air through, so you need some free space/clearance behind them.
