What Have You Bought Today?

Yesterday, some very compact camping chairs from Decathlon (cheap Helinox-a-likes).

Today - a fire safety stick and a Cadac 2 Pro 3 cooker at the NEC show. Got a bargain on the Cadac as I bought the double discounted demo grill but when I got it home it was actually a box fresh, brand new, still wrapped one .

Just ordered a Just Kampers Door Storage Pod which should be delivered next Tuesday.
It was a toss up between that and the Kiravans version (which I think is the original) but comments on here swung it in favour of JK. I'll post a picture in 'What Have You Done' once it's installed.
I received an SMS this at 0825hrs this morning to say that it would be delivered by DX between 0800 and 1800hrs and about 5 minutes later it arrived. It was easy enough to fit with the supplied clips and the only real issue that I had was having to remove all of the insulation in the door so that only the sound proofing remains (which might not be a real issue but I guess time will tell).

@wayne. I can't beat that (I assume you're in the business) but I do always keep quite a few in a small tray in my office / studio (aka small spare bedroom). I don't play so much nowadays (due to deafness) but there's a few Dunlops in there along with Fenders in different gauges. The Fenders used to be my preference but, about 25 years ago I discovered V Picks which at the time you could only buy from the USA and they've been my favourite ever since. The only problem is that they tend to be a fair bit more expensive than the norm, especially the more 'specialised' ones, and I wouldn't dream using them for anything other than playing (then they last forever and over the years I reckon I've either lost or given away more than I've worn out!).Picks1.jpg

Still available, but £6 per pick? In 40 years I reckon I've sold 2! We haven't stocked them for years! They were £2 at the time when that was too much for a pick!
Still get them though!
Minimum order 100.... !
Partially hand made if I remember, some sort of posh acrylic glass?
Too posh for Brummies!

After having a small 100mm off cut of this:

from @Ed Webb , who cut it from a bigger off cut from @wavey66 whilst we were all at Busfest 2023,

I now have bought my own big 3m long bit of the same stuff.

To be added to my list of:

To be installed when the weather gets better... :D

I can now throw away my pipe lagging noodle that I used to use to fill in the gap, which actually never worked that well to be honest.
