What Have You Bought Today?

They sent an email to tell you they are sending a letter! Sounds like the nhs :slow rofl:
To be fair though, I guess they have to promote their product :D
Yeah it's frustrating!

I got this email last Thursday

Hi TallPaul_S

We've been notified that a parcel has been posted to you from ide-tec KG 50Nord in Germany.

Just to let you know, it's likely there will be a Customs charge to pay for this item, due to the declared value of it.

You don't need to do anything now. We'll let you know when it's in the UK and confirm if any charges have been applied by Border Force.

But as of 8am yesterday it's at my local depot, being held awaiting the payment of customs charges. Which I can't do untill I have the reference number on the letter they've sent me...

I mean, you have my email address, why are you sending me a sodding letter!! It really is ass-backwards, I don't see any reason why they can't email. I just want to pay the charges and get my stuff!

I imported some wheels from Germany via a French company. They used UPS.
It was only because the French company was switched on and made the effort to keep me in the loop at every stage via email that I knew when UPS wanted the import duties and VAT paid. I had set up an account with UPS and they had all my details but they seemed to only be able to communicate with the seller.

Hope this helps you @burnsy79 .

I’ve fitted a stop start cancelling cable that I bought from aliexpress to my T6.1 here are some pictures of the install, no errors at all.
John

Do you have a link to this at all?

Today's expense was 4 Michelin Cross climate 2's, not very exciting, I hope they last longer than the Bridgestones they replaced.
@DaveD - Michelin have a deal on, which ends today I think. You could qualify for up to £100 for buying 4 tyres. I got £40 for buying 2.
Type in Michelin Tyre offer into Google, or other to find out about it. I will see if I can find more info for you.

Just my luck. I just checked it out - I managed to buy mine from a dealer who is not on the list of participating dealers!

Looks just want I am working towards! What system is this the schiehallion?
I have the 1400mm Torridon on the drivers side - at the regular height (this was to give us the extra sitting height in everyday use) rather than the raised option as we had not intention of using the Kombi seats with it. I also have the Torrridon extension box that adds the extra 400mm to give a full 6 foot bed. On the passenger side I have the Clachan. I have flippy uppys on the ends of the clachan and the torridon.
The Torridon extension box was developed because I asked them if they made such a thing to give us the option of a full length bed in a SWB T6 but it wasn't anything they had thought of or been asked for. The guys did the drawings and decided it was something they could build and wondered why they'd not already done it. It is now a standard part of their offer. So, if there is anything you'd like but it isn't on offer have a conversation. They do all their design in house and cut and assemble so almost anything is possible.

An Spjuvial duvet set from Ikea (SPJUTVIAL duvet cover and pillowcase, light grey/mélange, 150x200/50x80 cm - IKEA). Not to use as intended, but instead to fit on Forty Winks mattress. I was hoping to find something to enclose the Forty Winks mattress opposed to a sheet so it all stays neat and tidy when folding the seats when needing to use the kombi seats between nights of camping. Happy to report it works a treat; the stretch of the fabric and zip make really snug. Would highly recommend.

I’ve bought a Camping glass safari window to replace a fixed drivers side window and hopefully it will be fitted next week.

John.
Have to show us this when it's done matey. I'm tempted to swap both my sliding door and kitchen window with the safari glass
