Not bought today, but arrived today.
The new wheel for my van I bought from a German seller. Same size and thickness as a standard wheel, but much nicer and perforated leather on the sides, alcantara top and bottom and silver stitching to match the rest of my interior. Fitted photos to follow.
Also picked up a black switch surround / frame to go with it - but not sure I’ll use it yet.

Had the van almost a year now and have resisted the urge to spend on frivolous aesthetics, but hanging around this forum has only excerbated the need to scratch that itch
. Also helped that we just had a quote for a kitchen makeover; SWMBO nearly had a duck egg, and decided that the kitchen is just fine as it is, thereby making it easier to convince that frivolous aesthetics are, in fact, worthwhile. I also came across this:

These seat covers turned up today ,yes I know they’re Sportline but didn’t have the logo on the pics of them on eBay :-( but I can live with that as they’re really comfortable not surprising they’re really cold so hope the backs will go back into shape when they warm up

In amateur radio circles, a similar rule applies, but only if "what, that? No, I've had that for ages" doesn't work... ;-)

Just bear in mind you’ll have import duty on the price of this as well, but I still thought price was good compared to others I’ve seen and - more importantly for me, keeps the standard thickness on the rim.

A couple of days ago I paid for a replacement key. I've been down to one key since March, and at £165 from a local locksmith I can't complain too much given the price of dealer replacements. The locksmith came out and after about 30 minutes handed me a replacement key. It's not a VW fob but his own branded version - similar to a Passat key I've seen but it works so that'll do me.
Given that my key was broken, not lost, I could have used these guys if I'd have been aware of them at the time, for £50.

Visited Zampetas Store in Thessaloniki / Greece. Great place for us.

I bought mine off dvla and put it straight on. About a week later I got the transfer letter stating that I could now put my plate on my vehicle. Whoops.
