What Have You Bought Today?

I always liked the Ring products. They were the “cheap and cheerful” of their day.....but always kept going!!
I have one of these in the VAn, never had an issue with it.

I do like a Mk2. My first one was an 8V too, and they're not as sluggish as people like to make out.

Strange mileage goings on on yours between 07 and 08 tho'

Yes this one is particularly lively and nice and torquey, as it had a chip back in the day. It helps that it doesn't weigh a ton - modern are are so heavy. I had a 16v when I was 18, and have always wanted a mk2 since

Im always looking at MOT histories as well - This had new 'second hand' clocks then - The chap selling was quite open about it when selling - He had owned it for 16 years, and stored it for the last nine as you can see it wasn't on the road. It has a history file as big as your arm. Its a four owner car, which in itself is rare!

Door seals..looking forward to the difference they make......and puddle lights thanks @saxoboy...very much looking forward to these too.

Not having the confidence or technical nous to fit ambient lighting from @saxoboy I have splashed out on a red chinese LED for the dash usb.....
.....a bit in yer face but actually quite like it for a £2.59 outlay !! :)

Saxoboys kits all come with easy to follow instructions.
Have a go. You’ll be fine. Take your time and take photos of what you take apart if you get lost with it.

Pushed the button on one of these..... o_O Well I can't go anywhere in the van so I might as well get out and about some other way! Should have it early March, which I am pleasantly surprised by - I thought that COVID had made getting your hands on a new bike harder than taking delivery of your new T6.1!!CITRSIM-Cube-U-StereoHybrid140HPCRace625eMTB_Grey-2.jpg

Nice! I use to have the original Stereo, then the Hanzz.
Big step up for me from my Haro Flightline Comp hardtail, and going electric too. Nearly £4k and I still have to buy it some pedals!! :slow rofl:
I'm hoping it's going to put a big beam on my face, just like my van does.....when I get to use it:geek:

I tried to buy one too but all sold out for now. Let us know how you get along. Cheers Joe

Lovely, was looking at that myself, but have held off and kept my old Haibike for now while I wait and see how life pans out this year.

I was expecting to be waiting until the summer to be honest, due to the Covid related cycling surge and the fact that it's the 2021 model which apparently doesn't arrive until the end of this month. My lad (14) has outgrown his Boardman (he's outgrowing everything and will soon be taller than me!) and being the kind, generous, thoughtful dad that I am I decided it would be nice if I gave him my pride and joy, my Haro Flightline Comp. I'm kind like that - and the first time he rode it he told me how lovely it was to ride compared to his old bike. Hardly surprising as his knees were pretty much up round his ears on the Boardman!

Of course, this feat of unbridled generosity meant that his poor old dad was suddenly without a set of wheels! ;) Oh dear! What's a man to do? Blow the best part of 4K on an electric full suspension MTB obvs! I've been researching things for a while and had made my choice on the web, only to discover that the supplier I'd chosen has a branch less than 2 miles away. When I dropped in this week just to have a chat about delays, Brexit, import duty etc, the guy was initially a bit gloomy. Huge demand, long delays etc, but then when I said I'd have to buy the wife a new e-bike too, he perked up a bit. (I have to buy the wife one before telling her about mine - but everyone on here will know that tactics of smuggling purchases in under the radar!;)). I told him there was no rush, happy to wait a few months - and then within an hour he's calling to say he can get me the colour I want - but 'not until early March'! So there we are - deposit paid, excitement levels rising by the day!!

My wife has expressed interest in a Haibike as a colleague of hers at work has one and she 'liked the look' of it. Not the groupset, brakes, bars or hubs of course - just the colour...... She's not a confident cyclist and I'm hoping the e-bike will change this. She fell over last September and broke both arms - and that was just walking! Getting her balancing on a bike again might be a challenge! She's not going to be doing DH or trails so she won't need a soft-tail. Do you rate the Haibike?

It’s my first EMTB and is 3 yrs old now. It took some adapting to fit me and with hindsight I should have got a L rather than M, and I wouldn’t mind a bit less weight (the bike says the feelings mutual) but I’ve been happy with it. Plus it was £2100 new which I thought was a bit of a bargain.

Had to talk the wife out of getting one of these the other day. No room in the garage.
