A small safe for our 8 week trip to Spain later this year.
I watched the video on their YouTube channel and I just thought it looked a lot easier than I expected it to be. Always a risk with trim removal though, I must admit.'Reasonably straightforward'?!!!
In what feels at times like a single handed effort to keep the economy afloat, once @antony.charnley has perfected the art of 6.1 installs, I will ask him to do it for me!
Like my headlights and suspension I used a specialist and they are both without fault.
The thought of doing that dash on my own van fills me with dread!
(More than happy to help a midlander who could do with another pair of eyes)!
I watched it too, a cold sweat ensued! I would certainly break something!I watched the video on their YouTube channel and I just thought it looked a lot easier than I expected it to be. Always a risk with trim removal though, I must admit.
Hey CB
Read up on sounds like a golf door seal application - I was discussing the seals yesterday
I believe golf door seal application is different on the drivers door to the passenger door. If your instructions don't specify a difference the pic below highlights where the seal is apparently supposed to begin on the drivers door - directly below the bung. I'm gonna adjust mine when I'm off on friday and see how it is.

Others may say different but my passenger door shuts fine yet the drivers needs a firm and noizy slam. Perhaps the seal rubber will bed in over the summer months - I don't know
It was watching their videos through covid lockdown that started our campervan journey. What was once a wild dream became a reality when we bought a T6 Kombi and started little by little getting it converted.Full insulation, carpet and ply kit from Combe Valley Campers. Hopefully it arrives before Wednesday when my windows are going in, so I can start fitting it ASAP. Looking forward to this stage, will follow their great Youtube vids too. It will definitely make it feel more like a camper/day van than the current panel van it is.
Added to the Team Chestnut Brown thread.Show us a pic then!

Learned a lot on my first 6.1 and have fed it straight back into the manufacturer. New rear cover on its way to me to trial what I've shown them for the interference fit. I have these in stock and will be making small mods to the rear casing in advance to make all this much easier. Or I talk to my incredibly talented next door neighbour and see what he would charge me to 3d scan and redesign the case for a quick print up..'Reasonably straightforward'?!!!

Mine same a couple of weeks ago with service and MOT - failed for split EGR pipe - MOT description said putting exhaust fumes in cab - so I’m glad they spotted it - I thought it was just doing a regen as did a lot of them before as short journeys then a few longer - funny now does not do as many!Nothing excited unfortunately. Garage noticed the EGR pipe was split whilst carrying out a service, so a service and EGR pipe replacementfor me today
The wife and daughter had been saying for a while they could smell fumes in the cab now you've said that. Ooops!!!
