What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Fitted the top engine cover bought from Transporter HQ:

It turned this:

Into this:

But there was a problem with the push in rivet supplied that fits from the bottom LHS of the cover to the top of the bumper cover.
It didn't fit and just kept falling out!!

So off to Halfords to buy:

For a not unreasonable £2.20

That fitted perfectly and closed the gap together:

Will take the ply up later and put down insulation before putting it back and laying top layer tomorrow.

Treated Jonny Cash “the van in black” to his fortnightly wash. Auto Glym; polar blast, polar wash and polar seal then rapidly ran out of interest to leather off. hes going into Ceramic pro soon for full correction and sealing with ceramic coat and protection film on the bonnet, front bumper and headlights. Exactly same as mine, don't know why they send clips that don't fit.....

Luckily I had a few thicker trim clips in my tool box

Thanks Chris. They did but after I’d got elbows deep in swear words so wasn’t really in the mood to tackle the back too today
I don't blame you by the sounds of it! Glad they turned up though.

Cleaned out the plenum chamber. Full of feathers, leaves, Sycamore seeds and silt.

Took off the plastic washer off the passenger side wiper spindle and it pinged off and disappeared inside the wing! Took off the fog light cover, the engine undertray, the air filter box top/bottom and the cold air intake, and the little washer was inside a box section of the chassis!

Siliconed in the wiper blanking plugs and sound deadened the underside plenum under the windscreen.
