I do like those, what are they please?Gave its first wash in 6 months and 20,000 miles.
Rather pleased with how well it still shines after nearly 100,000 miles.

Oh, and put some new wheels on.
It’s actually a 30Amp Renogy, this one:On my list to redo my electrics as well as the current set up is not great. Seems like we started at opposite ends but will end up doing the same job. Did you go for the 20A or 50A Renogy? Cant quite tell from the pics.
Lovin that, job well done.Finished getting the projector and home made screen sorted for the kids, just need to be able to go somewhere now rather than the driveway....View attachment 110861View attachment 110862
20 inch Chicanes.I do like those, what are they please?
Tidy job
It’s actually a 30Amp Renogy, this one:
My usage isn’t the greatest, the biggest power user in my van is my fridge. Other than that it’s just lighting, USB charge sockets and my dashcam. For me 30A is plenty, if I had more load I’d probably go for the 50A version. One thing to be aware of is if solar is connected the power is limited to 15A (or 25A on the 50A version) from solar and 15A from the alternator.DCC30S 12V 30A Dual Input DC-DC On-Board Battery Charger with MPPT

Yes mate I did, bit fiddly in places but certainly easier than dismantling. You do need a steady hand thoughThey look good, did you paint them without dismantling them? I want to do mine in a while
View attachment 111351Got the halo roof in
just removed mine be careful it was catching the rear taillift door and has worn the paint away on the edge of the door. Going to need painting as it's a rust trap waiting to happen.Ordered a rear bumper protector for the new van which Im picking up on Friday
I went through the same decision process. In the end I decided on the single unit as I wasn’t sure I’d get multiple devices in the space i was using. I noticed yesterday that the Renogy was simultaneously trickle charging both leisure and starter batteries. I didn’t realise it did this so that is a bonus. I thought it would trickle charge the Starter once leisure was full but hadn’t realised it continued to charge the leisure at the same time. I’m going to try connecting the fridge up and leaving it for several days without using the van when i get a clear window to see how the solar performs with a constant load over a period of days. This will pretty well simulate how I’d use it in anger before I get out for my first proper trip. Thanks for pointing that out. I swing between Victron individual units( pros are if one breaks then you don’t loose the lot - cons are space) and Renogy. I think you just swung
Yeah, pretty straight forward. Hardest bit was screwing it up to the van, I put the front seats right back and turned the headrests round to support the front then a brush with my jumper over it at the back (highly technical).Looks really good, this is next on my list of jobs to do. Is that a Plyy worx kit? if so is it as straightforward to install as what the instructions seem to suggest.
