What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I think the fact it’s in the mirror housing means it’s just as compliant as it was when it was within the wing.
Looking good, @Texxaco, what will you cover the hole with? I did wonder if I could have reused the repeater as some kind of side light for when camping etc, but CBA in the end
As for the indicator hole, I will get the wings off and send them for for the hole to be deleted and resprayed. No point in not getting it done properly.

Why not just leave it as it is…. I think both repeater’s look good together!?

Tiny cameras in there instead. Get a 360 camera system on the van.

2 no. rear plastic covers for the back of the seat bases from Kiravans. Wasn’t a fan of the velcro fasteners supplied so used rivnuts on the seat bases and bolted them on with black bolt covers. Also successful install of the BMV712 as well as the diesel heater outlet onto the seat base covers. Went for something a little less traditional with the duct outlet, had previously seen @Deaky share a link to it and it sits nice and flush, you can close the grille and also angle it up, down, left and right. Just need 2 small black fixings to secure the duct outlet to the seat base cover.

Banished all thoughts of divorce this weekend, with some much needed hands on love and attention.

Washing it on Friday made me finally give in and tackle the tar laden sides, so Saturday afternoon saw the offside and bonnet attended to, and this afternoon the nearside. I've still got the tailgate, both bumpers and maybe even the roof to do.

No fancy products and no need for correction due to my super careful washing regime. Poorboys White Diamond by hand, close up and personal old skool way with my reading glasses on, picking off every last spec. Then topped of with the first coat of Finish Kare 1000P Hi-Temp Paste Wax. More coats to follow as the Tig and Polo have three coats and nothing sticks nearly a year on. No fancy ceramics needed here.

Been a busy couple of days on the van, sound dead and acoustic foam insulation is just about complete! Still a couple of little tight spots I need to get at but works getting in the way
Found the whole process to be rather therapeutic! Next job is to get the top half of the bulkhead out (the lower is staying) and then get all the voids and some other areas further insulated with thermal fill insulation.
