What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I finally got my discs and pads fitted today thanks to my son doing them,I tried doing them last week but due to a flare up of arthritis in my knees 2 months ago having never had arthritis before simple jobs that involve kneeling down are near impossible for me now rant over, on the plus side my discs are nice and shiny now

After shopping this afternoon decided to take the EGR off. Was quiet easy barring the bolt at the bottom being covered by the coolant pipe. I bought a cooler for £95, was going to change just the cooler but after stripping the egr apart the inside of the valve was corroded so looks like had a water leak in there. But had no water loss. Only changing as had insufficient flow code after a regen but no lights. Plus the rear metal pipe had a split which didn't know. Luckily I had bought one from tps on Friday. Looks like am having to order full egr tomorrow.

Is it that simple ?

Might be doing this soon
Very simple, as long as you have an understanding of basic wiring. I fitted Anderson connectors at the seat base to make it quick release, MC4 connectors can be a bit of a fiddle to undo in tight spaces. (Note: If using CTEK ensure your panel Voc does not exceed 23Voc)

Do you have a link for the kit you've used ?
I have a Ctek 250se like you. Is it one cable one the Ctek then fit the Anderson connector on the end ?
I don't know what Voc is, sorry.

Voc is Voltage open circuit- basically the voltage measured across the output terminals when panel is in perfect alignment with sun in perfect conditions. It is listed in the panel specs.
I bought this panel as renogy have a good reputation:

I then bought a few ready made cables to extend it and wire into the CTEK.
This from panel to van:

This to convert MC4 to Anderson (be aware that I had to swap the pins over in the Anderson plug to ensure the polarity is correct.)

And then this to wire into the CTEK:

@Sackmycook 1* solar panel, 2* wires (pos & neg), 1* CTEK.

He's added the Anderson as a quick disconnect.

Fyi - Voltage Open Circuit. Is part of the spec of the solar panel, the cetek can handle 23v max....

Most Renogy panels are about 19v ish... Including the 200w ones.

Something at the back of my mind seems to think my convertor mentioned pre-wiring for solar. Guess I need to get the passenger seat out to investigate.

So the Ctek will have a +ve and -ve for 2 wires, these then go to the solar controller kit ?

Sorry for being stoopid

Done nothing other than put into garage for engine management light...turns out needs new glow plugs and pressure sensor.
Getting done at Swift motor engineering in Westerhope VAG approved independent.
These T6 things are great but wow expensive to own.

Not me, but some inconsiderate A****** kind person has decided to add a nice white scuff to the front passenger corner of the van when parked and not leave a note. Bumper will need a fill and spray but only looks minor. Suppose i'm just being a drama queen and it could have been a lot worse! At least no one was hurt! but it just really annoys me as i'm the one who will end up paying for it.

Been round all the white cars nearby to see if they have an equally attractive Indium Grey tell tale, but to no avail.

I’ve bought some too but can’t get the old ones off, Do they unscrew then come out as I had to use pliers to unscrew until they reached a point where they stopped turning & I thought they were going to snap if I tried any more, am I missing something?
Yep. Unscrew whilst pulling upwards. They don’t seem to just unscrew.
