What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Started installing my van shades window pods
Fitment seems a bit off down the short sides , doesn’t really follow the contour of the frame . Will have to revisit it tomorrow ( only behind driver )

Carried out my weekly task of pushing the Heko Wind deflectors back into position to stop them flying of on the motorway as per the last ones.
I have a set of Climair to fit when the winter is past.
I do not rate Heko they ride down even though I haven’t opened a window for months.

I had a similar issue with my Hekos so I bought some more clips and used 5x each side along the length of them - they’ve not moved since

I'm just about to start fitting mine, but as they are 2nd hand, only came with a few bolt/screw things. What are the fixings like you are using and do you use them for all the pods?

where did you manage to get them second had if you dont mind me asking?

Set about continuing the reversing camera install with the new fish tape thing.

Sooooooo much easier - got the wire through tailgate, through the rubber grommet tube, along the ceiling, down A pillar then along under glovebox.

VCDS coding was straightforward and so was plugging in the loom with the canbus breakouts for the RCA and camera power.

Quite pleased with myself :thumbsup:

Have left the A pillar trim off because I will continue tomorrow when I fit the Alpine speaker kit. I also have some red footwell LEDs to fit too.

I only used 4 on the first one I did , the plastic is quite thick on the pods I’ve got so maybe they are a good length?

If not they are Tek screws, a good selection are available from Screwfix. They are supposed to be self drilling but that depends on how thick the anchor point is.

@t6blo happy with the speakers?

Yes, they sound good. I am getting on abit and am no audiophile but do like music to be loud and sound decent.

They are running off the standard head unit via CarPlay and I have the rear speakers enabled and these are a pair of 6x9 under the rear Kombi bench in a custom speaker/storage box.
