What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

When I take my T6 Bus in for a service at the Vw main dealer, I ask them very politely not to wash it.

My neighbour, with his Ford Ranger will now be asking the same at his next service, as this is how it was returned from todays service...

Not long after getting my Shuttle the missus reversed into the lamp post near our drive...

Finally bothered to replace the reflector...

1. Removed Giandel 2000W pure sine wave inverter
2. Removed 85aH AGM Battery
3. Removed CTEK D250SA DC-DC and solar charger

A. Fitted 30A Reneogy DC-DC and MTTP charger and bluetooth module
B. Fitted Renogy Lithium battery
C. Fitted Ecoflow Delta 2 and wired relay to automate charging by switching from solar on van roof to +alt charging vai B+ cable (only one XT60 at back of EcoFlow delta)

The picture shows first-fit a test wiring. Everything to be tided up. Reason I did all of this is so I don't ever have to pay for EHU on campsites.

Also discovered alternator wasn't charging my engine battery (battery flat every couple days) so I used Carista battery management to recode battery and now Alternator is charging battery.

P.S. CTEK 250SA (suitable lead acid and AGM batteries only) and Giandel 2000W pure sine wave inverter for sale if anyone is interested

Well
A busy Saturday
Started my floor cut all the ply and bonded it to the floor
Cut the full floor ply wood
Primed the new front trim ready to take its new top coat of teal to match my blinds and slidepod
Oh and started my change of rear badges to Matt black …
Not a bad days work

What paint code is the teal? I was shopping for it today to paint a cabinet but couldn't find a good match.

Nah, she's a keeper. She was annoyed at the time, complaining that she couldn't see the lamp post... Well if you CAN'T see the lamp post then it's going to be behind you! The reverse sensors would have been the biggest clue!
My missus has done this twice.
Once into our garage door….
(Logically) I questioned re the parking sensors… to which she replied,
“oh I just thought it was the bins setting it off”
………:slow rofl:

Given up mock testing in the van as “something” keeps failing so don’t know if it’s a lead or the controller device and vehicle vibrations so am bench testing my rgbw led set up for a couple of days and then will install it and see if it fails.

6 strips - two for each door pocket. Two for footwells.

I know it doesn’t like the lights on grey/blue wire feed as it struggles on that for some reason. E68F109D-FF97-459F-9736-60F7D71135A4.jpeg

Whilst having all the dash bits out for fun hurt my finger quite badly as wow the the top dash pocket is really difficult to remove. Snapped a lug off but it doesn’t impact re fitting.

Tested a couple of simple leds on the cig lighter as always been surprised it’s not illuminated. Idea is that once led rgbw set up I’ll add a short strip in that space so it will all match (I mean 98% of time it will all be lit low red but sometimes I like other colours)!

Quite happy with the new knob as well. 08DF9063-ABA1-452D-9254-61BC9DF065B2.jpeg
