What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Considering doing that to lower the "Wall Of Chrome like an Addison Lee" factor on mine, but not sure it irks me enough to take the whole grill off.
Didn’t take the grill off, just used a trim tool to prise off the strips, cleaned them, few coats of plasti-dip and clipped back on

Easy to clip off then clip back on? I wanted to do this but terrified of breaking the clips from experience on other vans I've owned

There’s a video on you tube (that I think is also on a thread on here somewhere) showing how to prise them off, clipping them back on was a bit harder but probably cause I sprayed on the clips, managed to do it with out breaking any

Very rare I have the time and inclination to wash both little and large. Today was one of those days. Reminded me why I dislike doing it - refreshes the memory all the old chips and imperfections which haven’t magically disappeared and finding the new ones!! Still, they’ll look good for a few hours!!

I am not going to get an invite to Sowing Bee but got some waterproof fabric and made this barn door cover as an experiment. My awning stretcher pole, because its tapered fits neatly into the door latches to stop the cover sagging and keep the doors open. if this works in the rain i might have a proper go:)

Very nice, mark 1 experiments to prove it works very useful, still waiting on MrsR's sewing time to make mark 2 of our rainguards.

Final set of floor brackets to give me total flexibility and allow 9 seats again for those rare times I need 9.

Each of those sets of four brackets will also take a single middle with the built in belt.

Good idea. If one of the kids is being a pain, you can stick them in a single seat, right at the back, all on their own! :D

Perhaps you could even have the seat facing backwards to minimise how much squawking you can hear from the cab? :sneaky:

Unfortunately the seats only fit in one way, unless the brackets are turned round........:)

Continuing to make it mine…

Having had the cab interior re-trimmed recently from black to “lunar gray” it was time to put my stamp on the outside.

Full detail and ceramic coat from the amazing Rob and Jamie at Clean Cut in Winchester, but the biggest change was having the wheels refurbished and changed from gloss black to matt bronze. I’ve been considering this for ages and I’m really pleased with the result. Rob had a company he takes them to near Gatwick and they were done while the van was being polished and cut and wash and coated. Wheels back and coated as well. Love the result!

Hoping it stays clean more easily so it looks half decent for Busfest!
