What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

So today I thought I would turn my hand to a little crafting session. 3 hors later and glue everywhere, if didn't turn out too bad. It was hard getting all the cuts right and had to do a few overlaps as the shape is awkward. I think it's spruced up the cheap plastic look quite well. What do you lot think?

Time to put it back together including a wee speaker upgrade

Blsck instead of Greg.

What’s super weird is that the total height of the black ones is approx 10mm shorter than the grey ones so I’ve a bit of a go and can see dodo silver in places but not bothering me (yet)

Loving the power socket array.

Are the new sides from a Caravelle? I think they have a higher floor as standard.

@archersam have you got USB power on the drivers side too ? if so where did you source the power from (or is from your leisure battery) I need to get some 12v sockets on the drivers side as its annoying trailing them across the seat from the passengers side.

That is the drivers side panel you can see......the passenger side has the triple socket. I only installed a quad here as someone had badly fitted a socket and it was huge so normal triple wouldnt work. I soldered the wires to the existing feed on the passenger side and then ran the cable across the floor and taped it down with aluminum tape and relaid the carpet

Rest of rear black panels put back in. Tip if you’ve got seatbelts make sure you feed them through the panel FIRST. At least I’ve reached “expert level” at removing snd fitting panels.

Rhino Load liner in place and time to pack.

Then quick trip to my local independent down here in Kent (ex Vw Mastertech) for an oil and filter change and quick inspection before my next European trip tomorrow.

Oil would be due when I was away so I’d rather do it early than late.

If you found time for a how-to thread future me would appreciate when I pluck up courage to consider doing something similar with the power sockets and maybe lighting.

Had a Pop Top installed!

Opted for a few extras too which included USB Light, Matress, Scenic Canvas, Roof Bars and Wind Deflector. Not done a thorough inspection yet, thats my job for later on today but its looks ok off initial inspection and come with 12 month warranty. It is on the cheaper end of the scale so fingers crossed its not cheap crap.
Price for above, £2650 (inc of carpeted metalwork)

That’s a remarkable price, and it looks good from here. I would recommend checking for tiny bits of swarf, which will show as a rusty rash when it rains (it happened to mine anyway).

I don't think so as the Velle's have a different front albeit they are older so could be from an old Velle however the wife's 2009 Velle also has the front pockets.
