Haha.. brilliant... I've often been seen giving the alloys a full valiant on various campsites to random looks :)

Finished off the rear camera install. Alpine camera in an oem mount. Really pleased I used the vw mount instead of the bracket that came with the camera.

That looks good. Does the stock camera module just come out of the stock plastic mount? I have stock camera and adapter to Alpine Halo 11. I've always wanted to put an Alpine HD camera in, but didn't want to lose the stock camera fitting.

I didn’t have a rear camera so I bought the mount and fitted the Alpine in it with the help of a little fettling and some clear silicon to fix the camera in the mount. I’m sure the original camera could be removed to enable replacement if required.

Given it a wash in the rain - of course , and had the front splitter and side bars fitted (by my local bodyshop because I can't be ar5ed trying to do it myself, and anyway, it's raining, of course )
Very pleased with the result: (before / after)

I don't even hate the Claytons as much now, which is lucky, because SWMBO has decided a new cooker hood and an all singing all dancing food processor are a better investment than a new set of Wolfrace wheels. Could have been worse; at least the full kitchen makeover is off the cards (for now).

not all today but spend the last few evenings finishing the install of new focal speakers, tweeters , kenwood mini amp, kenwood 8021 DABS and kenwood Cmos reversing camera. Just waiting on some ambient lighting before refitting the door cards.
rear speaker cable is in just got to fit the speakers.
took longer than expected but was simple enough thanks to all the guides on here and help from Jason at @Absolut5

Super impressed with the service from Absolute5 Jason really knows his stuff and would highly recommend.

Huge improvement in sound quality and more punch in bass than I was expecting from just door speakers!

LET THERE BE LIGHT …
So after driving my 6.1 with nothing more than a candle for lights at the front the time had finally arrived… new led DRL lights fitted
Sometime you need a helping hand, whatever the weather the last few days I am so glad I made the trip to @The Van Cave
Chris was very professional and did a marvellous job.
Highly recommended.
Now just waiting on the dark night drive home .
The lights really work well but also look the part.
Thanks again Chris

Washed the salt off the underside and rinsed the wheel arches of all the mud. Was going to wash it and detail but forecast of rain, rain, rain over the next week put me off. When all the salt is washed away, I’ll give her a ‘proper’ clean and rid her of all this ‘winter rubbish’.
