What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Finally got round to sorting the pop top leak where the solar cables come in through the roof. Turns out water was getting in under the actual gland on the roof. When I tried to clean round the edge to apply some sealant the gland just popped off the roof. What a pita cleaning the old sealant off before reattaching (properly?)
IMG_7649.jpegThen it was time to swap the 20’s for the Devonports ready for Saturday’s little trip to Spain. Got them out of the cellar and the balance weights pulled off two of the wheels, so duly loaded them into the van and took them all to be balanced. Then changed the wheels over at home. So nearly a whole day spent doing 2 simple tasks.
Still not even washed it yet.

Washed it. Been a while and lots of road salt to get off. Found more scratches but decided when getting the van not to worry (unlike previous cars) otherwise where is the fun - use it and enjoy :) in a few days will stop admiring it out of the window and will be filthy again

Can you advise where you got that done please @Chippie1 I’ve just had mine done in Clevedon as it was convenient but had to go back as they fitted the wrong weight rating on the tyres (99 instead of 103) which was the tyre garages fault but when the main company did my alignment by steering wheel was off centre. It’s all been sorted now but I’d prefer not to use them again.

Tyres or alignment?

Fitted a Van-X dash top lid. Followed the instructions and the sides sat a little high. I'd seen someone else here had a similar issue. They resolved it by cutting and filing the locating prongs on the lid. I didn't do that, I don't have the tools! So, I removed the side clips as well, made pilot hole for the screws, and simply screwed it into place. Quite pleased with the result, though I don't know why it's not made with the prongs the same size as the part I had to remove, which then would allow the lid to fit neatly into the existing clips.
