What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Started the diesel heater install. Just a cheap chinese one but had it running on the workbench for a week and all seems good. I decided to put it in the factory position under the van rather than inside. Less noise and less chance of carbon monoxide inside the van.

Driving through France and aiming for a stop in Logroño then down to Cordoba for a day or two then on to Torremolinos for 6 days (hotel booked). Then Granada for Valentines weekend and then along the coast to meet up with some friends for a couple of days in Benidorm 19/20th them carry on along the coast up to Perpignan and then home through France.
Need to be home by 4the March.
What do you think of Javea? It’s been recommended by a friend.
We skipped it last time in favour of Denia (which we really liked btw).
Thats a fair run for just a few weeks .
Our first time in Javea and we liked it .
We couldn't get In anywhere in Denia last time so we did gandia , valencia then sagunto instead
We're back in valencia now for a few days before heading back towards france .

Some guys turned up today said the somport tunnel was thick snow if you are heading that way check forecast

Thanks. We are heading down the west of France and into the Rioja region and a stop at Logrono.
In Denia we stayed on the car park aire at the harbour.
Where have you stayed in Javea?
Enjoy your trip btw.

They are doing a refurb on the site starting Monday though so it might be no good for you this time .

Safe journey mate , have fun!

Bugger! Never mind. Although we won’t be there until about 21st/22nd, I’d imagine the refurb will take longer than 3 weeks.
Safe travels yourself mate. Enjoy.
Love a little adventure, better than staying home looking at the rain.

Question.
I've installed the Auto-Vox V5pro.
On playback I don't see the recorded vehicle speed next to date and time stamp. Do you have this problem? Thanks
No I don't see it when playing back on the unit either. I think if you were to put the SD card onto a computer it would show, but not tried myself

Cleaned the fleet today.
Started with the van. Wheels sprayed with cleaner followed by full snow foam coverage. Had a quick brew as it was dwelling.
Rinsed and shampooed then dried off.
Moved onto the car, same process.
Both looking mint!
Moved onto Mrs MD’s. Sprayed with water, shampooed and dried!
Van and my car vacced and cleaned inside, she can do her own!
Almost a full day fettling and Mrs chuffed I’d washed her car, even though I didn’t do the inside! :think smile bounce:

I take a similar approach, though it's only the van gets "love and attention" - my car gets the same minimal, perfunctory wash as the wife's.

Customer service said the same thing. I think you need to download specific software to playback with vehicle speed to show

My cars a new un @Bav Only had it over a week, hence the love and attention.
Saying that, made sure the van got first dibs cleaning wise.
There’s a hierarchy you know! :D

Plasti-dipped the rear badges (to continue the matt black of the front, wheels and roof bars). Really easy job. Not sure about the big black blob of the rear VW badge. So I thought I'd try silver inlays.... not sure about that either.

I just decided to give it a go

How’s it holding up? What have you done with the buttons from the centre console ?
They aren't fitted yet. Waiting for the van to get the poptop fitted first.

As for the buttons, I have just sprayed them black. I'm not too fussed not having the symbols on them.

Back in with the PPF guys after the lower half of the bumper film lifted  apparently due to the night I picked up we had sub zero temps which they are using as an excuse.. can’t say too impressed and another 2 days without the van! often feel like I'm getting a reduced service as not a Ferrari or Porsche but a transporter
