That’s impressive!
I know mate..........as I said at the time when I was being derided by someone, sometimes it pays to drive something with the aerodynamics of a wardrobe on wheels........especially when you've a tail wind that's blowing you all the way home! And boy, was it a tailwind.......pretty sure I could've switched off and it would have been a few miles before I'd have stopped!! I was driving on a wiff of throttle......I couldn't believe it!!

Here's one for ya.
T6.1/22plate/150/t30/lightly loaded
On a 4 hour each way drive - mostly at 50mph (M1) but going up to 70etc where can - in 4th gear for most of it.
A bit over 45mpg.
Reason for 4th gear - most of the journeys I do are short so thought I'd take this opportunity to give the engine+system a good run.

When playing a little when it was safe with the dash - put it into 5th and 6th and it didn't show up as that much more eco.

Agreed mate........I find myself using 5th even on motorways and fast A roads for the same reason. I've never been one for lugging engines so, despite what I've been saying about fuel economy, I actually prefer to keep it over 2000 rpm on a run.

All very interesting! As an aside my long term average is 31 mpg which considering I do a lot of towing with a car transporter and fully laden van is really quite acceptable.

After a recent trip to Bordeaux in our fully loaded T30 LWB 150 DSG camper i got 34mpg. Mostly autoroute at 60-70MPH.
Happy with that as the drive is fantastic.
Extra weight of wine on the way home. :)

The consumption is 650 km on 80 liters before updating the air pollution issue VW.
8.125 KM TO 1 LITER
More urea was needed.
Replace the oil drain screw from the turbo, And also a DPF pressure regulator Part of a software update.
3 years.

after updating 500 km 80 liters
6.25KM TO 1 LITER .----------------------------------16 mpg------------------------------------------------.
5 years until today.

50mpg at 59mph. You cannot trust computer. You have to check liters versus gps miles. T6.1 110 LWB. Michelin agilis cross climate 215/60/17 62psi. I drive to and from Croatia

My current long term average is 39.9mpg, calculated brim to brim. I think the engine is just hitting it's sweet spot at 64k (150bhp,DSG,18" wheels) , though the suspension feels like its falling apart.

I've just finished doing all the costings for our trip earlier this year to Greece. Ferries from Italy to Greece and return took some of the burden but we actually drove a total of 3100 miles over 34 days away with the van returning 36 MPG across the whole trip (we set out with a full tank and filled it up again about 2 miles short of home keeping all receipts in between). All but about 550 of those miles were on motorways, mostly at 75MPH.

T6.1 T32 LWB 199ps DSG. If I’m driving around town 35mpg if on a motorway then I stick to 60mph and get 60mpg back so would say that’s good. This is when on adaptive cruise control of course, only way to get the best results.

Unless I’m driving it like I stole it then 10mpg

Had mine serviced recently and mpg seems to have dropped, t32 dsg swb and now I’m on 350miles on a tank (light come on then refill) before I used to get 400 miles.
Most of my driving is around the doors school runs etc.
Does this seem thirsty?

How far is the school run?
If it is 50 miles each way, yes - very thirsty.
If it is 1 mile each way, no, and it will cost a lot more soon.

Engine size, and wheels and tyre size pls.

Has this not just coincided with the sudden cold snap we have had?? Your mpg will get affected by the cold weather

Noticed it awhile back but seems wore now as temps have dropped.
