Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend the day at Polzeath,I forgot to take a photo but I made a little video, one of our best sessions for a long time:eek:

Today took me back to Propex in Ringwood for the 2nd time in a month. 1st time was to get a leak on my underslung gas system fixed; that was diagnosed as being a perished washer on the high pressure side, and a badly fitted microbore pipe/ compression olive on the low pressure side. It was all tested and I was sent on my way. One week later when using the gas system, “mmmm I smell gas!”. Phoned them back and got the normal defensive sort of B.S. All the way driving the 2.25 hours this morning I was worried, thinking they would say that nothing was wrong and it was all in my head. So they put the van in the air, turn the system on and start wanding around the underside with their magic sniffer. Thank F it went nuts!!! At that point I said “oh so it does have a leak then..... how odd that you didn’t pick that up last time!”.
Any who, new regulator fitted, and hopefully now all fixed (finally...fingers crossed). Enquires about the new digital thermostat for the HS2000 heater. Suggested that they could give me a nice discount on one due to the two journeys that I have had to make totalling 500 miles and 9hours of driving to get leaks fitted. Well chuffed, they actually gave me one for free. Seems fair to me.

Also hit a bit of a milestone on the way home

I’ll leave you to decide if the milestone is the 40000 miles or the 49mpg.:).

Overnight in the Drum Inn in Stanford ready to catch the early Chunnel to France in the morning.
Great camp site, hook up, showers and toilets.
5 mins from the Chunnel and very friendly pub attached. Typical country pub with good home cooked food.
Didn’t bother to set up as we are leaving early and dining in the pub tonight.
1st pint of Guinness down but not many more due to early start.
Thoroughly recommend this place if you’re looking for an overnight before or after the Chunnel.
They also have hard standing if you prefer.

Just booked a pitch here for same reason, looks good.
Is it pitch anywhere and how you like or is there an area for early departures.
Cheers.

Anywhere and how you like it.
Pub food is excellent as is the whole set up.
Less than 10 mins from Chunnel.
Will certainly use again:thumbsup:
